Ardena School & A Little Bit Of History

Ardena School No. 2 built in 1855

The hubs remembers seeing it moved here to this spot in 1971 as he went by on the school bus.
He grew up here in Howell Township were the school is now located.

Grand Trunk Western
The Caboose from the 1888 train has been restored beautifully.

I found these pictures on line,
and have made it my mission to find this area and train that have been restored with so much care.

- history is not a burden on the memory, but an illumination of the soul -

That is a beautiful area to have a stroll around by the look of it.

It's fun to explore the history of your own area! Lots of people know more about places where they've traveled than they do about their own. Good for you for taking time to learn and find these places.

The schoolhouse is in fantastic shape for being that old! They did some great work on the caboose!

Super fabulous little school. I bet that was a site for your hubs to see moved to that location. Wonderful restored little train caboose too.
