Saturday Critters ~ 351 ~

I am up to my eyeballs in caterpillars and chrysalis,
feeding them and keeping three cages clean has become a full time job.
A full time job I love!

I am releasing butterflies almost everyday,

some are happy to fly right off,
others hang around and are hesitant to leave right away.
I have not been able to buy enough organic dill to keep them fed,
so I am also giving them organic parsley,
they seem to enjoy it as it is gone in an hours time.

The last batch of caterpillars was 54...

4 have passed on, leaving me with 50.

This Black Swallowtail is a recent release,
enjoying the butterfly bush, they surely make a lovely pair.

Awesome pics, love how you got him on your finger too! Good thing they like parsley too, they are going to really go through with that many that's for sure. Hope you have a terrific weekend!

That is so many caterpillars! It must be so satisfying to see the butterflies leaving the 'nest'!

They're beautiful! You have quite the operation going! If it gets any larger you might need a butterfly breeders license. LOL!

As always I think you take the best of Butterfly photos. They are so up close and personal. I love that you capture their faces. The flowers are lovely too. You do such an amazing job raising them all and I love your nurturing heart.
Sending big hugs your way!
