A Round Up Of Things

I am back to the dreaded cleaning phase of quarantine.
More organizing...
but when it is done I feel so happy.
I am almost ready to start loaning myself out!

I purchased this on Etsy for my front door and I really love it.
I like "hello" better than "welcome".

This is the pumpkin I picked at the farm on Sunday.
I like that it has speckled green on the bottom,
and that it is not quite perfect, just like me.

Isn't my mum looking beautiful!

I ordered this lock on Amazon and I am in love with it.
I was going to hang it on the fence in Point Pleasant at the inlet...
but it is so pretty, I may save it for Niagara Falls.
There is a fence there,
it faces the falls and they encourage the placing of locks.

I have yet to decide!

The skies and clouds have been so interesting.
I don't think I ever go outside when I am not in awe of the clouds,
and the ever changing skies!

I have done a lot of knitting on the Trellis Shawl,
I have really enjoyed working on it.

I finished my Needle Punch Snowman Ornament
it just needs to be mounted on a like shaped piece of wood.

Our Coronavirus numbers here in New Jersey are starting to tick upward...
I think this is what everyone was expecting.

I made this really delicious Home Chef meal on Monday night.
Sweet Onion Demi-Glaze Chicken with
Roasted Asparagus with Crisp Onions and Cheddar Bacon Corn Muffins,
I added the rice which we did not need.
This was a belly buster.
I often show only one plate of food, but each Home Chef meal feeds two people,
two times what is pictured above.

Another few days in the books, the hubs has been very busy with the buildings...
and I with all of the paperwork that goes along with it.

Debbie, wish I could get the nerve to clear out our closet. Not gonna happen any time soon though.

I look forward to seeing the finished shawl. It looks so worth all the effort.

That sky shot is gorgeous and the door greeting is perfect!

Take care, Debbie. Covid is going nowhere soon.

Your door decoration is very pretty, as are your mums and pumpkins. A very cute personalized lock. I never knew you could buy these. A real pretty sky you took a photo of, and your knitting is always fun to see. I love the pattern. Your ornament is very cute too. As for your food photos, they always make me want to eat at your house :) I haven’t checked on our Coronavirus updates lately but I feel they won’t be good. We have just got to keep taking care and being sensible about it until it’s all over and done with, so keep taking good care of yourself and sure do appreciate you bringing these rays of sunshine into our day.

Hi Debbie, your front door looks so nice with the new sign and beautiful fall display of flowers and pumpkins. Your shawl is so pretty and stitches are wonderful. It looks so soft. Beautiful skies and the meal looks wonderful. I am always looking for new sauces to put on chicken and this sounds so yummy. The numbers of cases are ticking up everywhere. What a situation we are in....all we can do is try to take care of one another. Lovely post - love the punched needlework ornament and that lock is so sweet! Sending hugs xo K

Debbie - with the calendar turning to October tomorrow, I will be putting out my Halloween decorations. So excited! As you know, our son is living with us temporarily, and he has commented often about the skies here compared to back in Ohio. First of all, you can actually see the sky, and the cloud formations are massive. We never get tired of looking at them! The cases in Montana are also increasing, and I keep waiting for the governor to lower the boom ....

Hello IS good! I may make one for our front door. We do not have a doorbell so one must knock of ring the little bell that has a few vintage cuff links attached to a ribbon to clank it with.
It does feel good to organize and put to rights the house or even a single room. I am unpacking my suitcase form our weekend trip now. I normally do not put this off but for some reason I'm just now getting to it. Turned the calendars to October First.
We are going to pick up our kittens tonight. I want to finish cleaning the guest room before I leave to get them. We have certainly missed them!

Could I fly you out to organize my home. Seriously, I need to get it done. I have got caught up with a few items, so I hope to get busy at least getting my study done.
I do like you front door Hello! I showed it to my husband and he thought it was cute too.
Your Mums are lovely and I like your imperfect Pumpkin. I hoping to start some decorating tomorrow.
The lock you bought is adorable and I think the tradition of where you leave it is awesome.
I di grab your cloud photo; it is the best for something I have in mind.
You Shawl continues to look good and I can't wait for you to model it.
Your needle punch snowman ornament is adorable too. I think it is the cutest and we do have a snowmen theme in our home for Christmas; so I should try this.
Our COVID 19 numbers are up too. We have 906 today and 2 deaths. If people would just wear masks. Our jump came because of students in two colleges in Utah County and so the spread goes.
Your meals always look so good. I hope your dear hubby can slow down a bit soon.
Blessings and hugs!

I like how you are using a hello door greeting that is a cute change :) I have never seen where you can get a lock personalized that is a neat idea, good luck with how to decide where to leave it :) Wow those clouds were awesome, I love how every season makes the clouds look a little different!
We have been lucky that our county is starting to go lower with our counts, hope it can stay that way!

I've suddenly started organizing again, too. Must be the cooler weather.
And yes, we have wonderful skies, always interesting and rapidly changing.

Yes, the cooler weather here in Central Texas had us cleaning a few things out of the garage this morning. And although I don't think we'll be opening our door this Halloween, I would like to put out a few decorations on the porch and in the windows. Maybe a few pumpkins here and there. Our door has a sign saying "Face Masks Required" I guess I could put up a Halloween sign also... maybe a face mask on the pumpkins??
