A Labor Of Love Continued

The new building we are building in our small business park is coming along nicely.
I am always so proud to see these structures built,
to go from a drawing on a piece of paper, to construction, to a completed building.
Here is a progress update, the outside shell is nearly complete.
The garage doors were hung over the weekend, they will be in the next pictures.

This is my third progress post, the first two can be found here and here.

This machine was super cool...
we have poured many concrete floors in our day.
This was the first time the contractor used this machine and it was awesome.

Using this machine was so much quicker,
and gave an amazing, smooth finish to the floor!

Protecting the front of the building with plastic when the concrete aprons were poured.

In our other buildings, the ceilings were open.
The new building code now requires them to be closed in like this.
New to us, it is a nice, clean look!

There is still a bit of work to be done inside,
but all of the outside work will be done before the cold weather comes.
The hubs pushes hard to coordinate all of the contractors and inspections so things run smoothly.
There is a strong demand for these office/warehouse rental spaces,
we already have tenants for the entire building.

As for the building that caught fire on August 4th,
what's left of it is still standing.
Working with the insurance companies has been difficult,
they have so many steps and procedures.
We have finally received clearance from our insurance company to demolish the building.
We are just waiting for one of the tenants insurance companies to do the same.
I will be happy when we receive the go ahead to get started.
We are ready, the lumber has been ordered,
the trusses have been made, and the carpenter is ready to go.
All we need is that ever elusive green light!

I envy people that can build something out of nothing. I'd like to come back as a stone mason.

I'm so glad you updated us on this progress. What a terrible ordeal and I know you will be happy to have the work done and the businesses back in the buildings. How amazing to see the machines and workers put up buildings. Sure makes the work go faster. Have a good day my friend!

It is impressive to watch them work, isn't it. I'm so pleased you are filled with tenants! All over but the waiting.

I do hope you get the green light to start on the burned out building. I felt so sad about you losing it. Thanks for sharing all the photos of the buildings that you are doing there. I think the cement machine is awesome. I am very happy you have tenants to fill it all. It looks like your hubby has been very busy.
Blessings and hugs for you!

Wow there is a lot involved with building and codes and insurances. It's very interesting seeing the progress of your building. Was sorry that you lost one in the fire though.
