The Sunset That Wasn't

I can be a little stubborn...but it's different than what you might think...
let me try to describe my stubbornness to you.
I am stubborn in the way that if you tell me something is not going to happen,
I think I can "will" it to.
If I want something enough, then it's going to happen.
The hubs and I were heading home from our day out, helping my mom.
It was nearly time for the sun to set and I wanted to drive to our "sunset spot".
The hubs said he would take me, but warned it was not going to be colorful, he knows everything.
"oooh I think it will be I squalled"
knowing that if I wanted it enough, it would be.

Well it wasn't,
but I still think the pictures are pretty...
and they are pretty because I want them to be pretty.

Most of the boats are out of the water here at this marina...

This house boat is still in and has electric running to it.
You can see the yellow extension cord, and it was obvious someone was living inside.

I was surprised to see this sailboat in the water,
I wondered if someone had abandon it or could not afford to have it taken out and wrapped.
There was no "bubbler" in the water.

As the hubs likes to tell the story,
I have been right once since we've been married, that was back in 1978.

He thinks that's funny, me, not so much!

You always capture pretty photos, Debbie, regardless what presents before you. I would like to live on a houseboat......one rather like the one in the movie "Houseboat" starring Cary Grant and Sophia Loren. I was married in 1978, too. =)

Hello, Debbie!
Your sky images are pretty. I love the second and the last photos. I could never live on a boat, I get seasick. Wishing you a happy day and new week ahead.

No sunset but the sky still put a display on for you.

Those clouds are beautiful! Much better than a flat, overcast sky. If you can catch a sunset with some puffy clouds like that...oh, yes!

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale...

Am I the only one humming Gilligan's Island?

Ahahah! :) My husband would say: "Once it almost happened that I was wrong!"
Anyway your shots are pretty. (Let's thank the Lord we have husbands of good will who drive us to places to take pictures!)

In my younger years, I had dreams (key word) of living on a houseboat. I love the ocean! Thanks for sharing your lovely photos!

Well, you still got great pictures. I have 'chased' more than my fair share of sunsets that didn't happen, or at least were hardly picture worthy.

The pictures are pretty - the blues and the clouds. But I like that you can will it so - that's the best kind of super power! We all need a little bit more of that in our lives.

I did like the layers of the clouds, the clouds are what makes a sunset neat. Wow that does seem cold to live on the water in the winter, I am getting chills just thinking about it. Keep that good positive thinking, there is nothing wrong with that, no matter what hubs says, LOL!

I think the photos are beautiful. It’s amazing the things that you capture and the story they tell. You do have a wonderful husband that will take you when you will it.
I’m smiling on this one! Hugs~
