Hydrangeas From The Garden!!

If I were not so tired right now,
I would go outside and photograph my gardens,
specifically my hydrangeas.
My 7 hydrangea bushes are stunning, just stunning.
Last year they did not bloom because of our harsh winter here at the shore.
This year they have exploded with blooms and colors.
If you close your eyes and dream about them...
I am sure you will be able to see them.

I love cutting them and bringing them inside.

When I purchased this pretty basket with vases,
I knew I would use it for my hydrangeas.

It did not come with "Easy Arrangers" which I knew I would need.
I call them "frogs" and they were not easy to find,
even on-line.
I finally found them, ordered them and received them,
now I am seeing them everywhere I go...
isn't that always the way.

You place them on top of the jar/vase...

and then you "mold" the frog to fit snuggly over the top,
this helps the flowers to stay put...
well, not really!!
But with a little lot of work and patience,
and if you don't move it or breath on it, they stay in place!

And they look lovely, just like this!!

For me, it's all about details...and these details, I loved!

It came with 3 vases but because of the size of the blooms,
I was only able to get 2 back in.
The other is on my desk.

 Seashore memories...

I love the way blue looks with yellow!!

They are beautiful Debbie. I love how you have them arranged. I love that basket.
I just dead headed mine. We are going into the third week of triple digits and I just thought the poor plants needed a break. I didn't keep one single bloom.
I am so glad you got flowers this year.

Hydrangeas are one of my favorites! For my daughter's wedding, we had some arrangements that were that lovely early spring white with pale green. I love your pretty blues. The basket really sets them off, too. BTW, did you know that by making a latticework of scotch tape on the top of the vase, you have your "arranger!" I call frogs the spiky pieces on the bottom of the vase.

...and I forgot to add -- if you dry them, the hydrangeas make gorgeous fall arrangements!

I love hydrangeas they look good anyway you desire to decorate on the plant, fresh cut, or dried. I've seen alot at weddings they're just beautiful. Mine are blooming but not like they were last summer. I think your right Debbie, we had a very harsh winter & I bet thats why mine are not doing well this year. Your photos of these flowers are beautiful.

Blue hydrangeas will be my daughter's wedding bouquet. These are sensational. The vase container is charming and the "frog" is a novel idea. Cool beans!

Hi Debbie,
It's so nice to meet you and thank you for your kind comments on my blog.
Your hydrangeas are gorgeous and so prolific. I have two bushes and only one bloom...I keep hoping!
Happy Anniversary to you and your hubby.

Hi Karen, I have heard that all blooming trees and shrubs are spectacular, every other year. It seems to be true with my pink dogwood, it was gorgeous last year and this year, it barely bloomed. last year all the garden centers in the shore area had signs up, not to expect hydrangeas to bloom and mine didn't. I am so happy to see them flourish again!

Beautiful, beautiful Hydrangeas!! They are my favourite flowers. I can't wait till Summer visits our li'l corner of the world and kiss our garden where the Hydrangeas bloom. I must say that Easy Arranger is a nifty thing.

These are so beautiful! My mom's hydrangeas bloomed well this year, too! I'm always amazed at the different colors that are produced on the same bush! Love your new flower holder, too!

Debbie these are gorgeous. Loving that last shot. I tried to grow them a couple of times but sometimes we would have really cold winters and mine always seem to freeze although I have seen them around town, I just didn't have that good of luck with mine.

Oh wow those are such gorgeous colors, and love the basket to display them, I have seen other like plastic things to use but never wire that can mold around your vase that is just too cool!!

Gorgeous!!! I would love to have Hydrangeas in my yard. Might have to remedy that deficiency next year. And I need one of those 'frogs'. I haven't seen those before.

Well, isn't that clever! And so much cuter than tape across the top of the vase :) Thanks for sharing with Roses of Inspiration. I hope you had a nice 4th of July.

Pretty hydrangeas--and I love the basket and jar container you found. I had to smile as you described how well the frog did (or didn't) work.
