Say It Isn't Snow!!

On Sunday night after returning home from Washington, D.C.,
the hubs and I were curious about Monday's weather.
We watched our local station,
The Weather Channel...
and I checked the weather app on my phone.
All three agreed, mostly cloudy, high around 40 degrees.

At 8 a.m., much to my delight, it started to snow.
Big, white beautiful flakes fell from the sky...
they coated every single branch on every single tree.

 It was a Winter Wonderland

This was the only hydrangea that bloomed this past summer,
and I was waiting for this very moment to photograph it.

 Big snowflakes...

 white powdery "fluff"...

 teeny, tiny pinecones...

and big bold evergreens, make for a gorgeous wintery view!!

I hung out the window, most of the day,
taking pictures of my feathered friends.
More on that tomorrow!!

Wonderful. Winter wonderland. That's the cottony dry snow which look perfect on Christmas trees, perfect for the holiday.

Beautiful shots! Snow is so lovely, but so cold! If only we could have snow and 70 degree weather at the same time!

One thing about snow, it makes wonderful photos, doesn't it! We have lots, but our air temp is climbing this week. Sweet! Have a wonderful Tuesday.

So beautiful - we've only had heavy wet icy icky stuff....But I'm sure we'll get our share of the fluffy stuff! I LOVE that photo of the pine cones. I thought that snow had fallen on dried roses at first!!

So pretty and your photos have shown me why some people refer to snowflakes as 'fluffy'.. they are :D)

There is so much snow. It looks pretty but way to early to have all that.

Lucky lucky you! We have only had a dusting this year. I would love to have a nice snow fall, but it needs to wait until I get all my running around accomplished. A bit of snow and we shut down. Enjoy your winter wonderland! Hugs!

It's beautiful. I think I will stick to visiting the places that snow and not live in the cold, though.
