Ominous Skies...

This past Saturday, was a beautiful day.
But looking up, at times, the skies were ominous, even threatening.

No one was discouraged by these moody skies...

 we weren't...

and neither were these wind surfers at Sandy Hook.

The clouds and sunbeams were breathtaking
and those dark, puffy clouds never produced one drop of rain.

ps...note to self, wind surfing looks hard,
and exhausting, I don't think you would like it!!

Hey Debbie!

I agree with you and Eileen -too much work. On the other hand, hang gliding has a certain appeal...

Debbie, I think that windsurfing is for others. I wouldn't like it, you say you wouldn't like it... I say, we just watch. Sure made some beautiful pictures.

It is a grey day but it still has beauty in it.

I love stormy skies and oceans. I love your photographs.
I have lost my love of playing in the ocean. Too many sharks over here anymore. :) Too many sea lions too. It is good to watch, I just don't want to swim with them anymore. :)

I think if I wind surfed or kite surfed I would go out to see and never come back.

Those sky photos are gorgeous! I love seeing the sky in all its temperaments! Yesterday, we had beautiful blue skies, but I know up your way, it rained and hailed! Yikes! Too much of a change for such a small state! And I agree -- no wind surfing for me!

Beautiful skies! The wind surfers remind me of the times I'd take my younger brother to fly kites; we weren't very good but we had great fun. :)

These are spectacular! So very pretty. I would definitely expect rain from them. Wind surfing? It looks fun but maybe a bit too much for me right now. :-)

The skies look awesome! I bet the wind surfers were fun to watch, but I am sure I would never be brave enough to do that.

Those were some ominous clouds. I always love the ones with the rays (I call them the fingers of God) beaming down. Wind Surfing looks fun but I think I'll pass.
