My Photo For World Bird Wednesday

The Nikon is still in the shop...
calling and complaining does not speed up the process!!
I don't know why it's taking so long, it was only a little juice.
Anyway,
without the Nikon I cannot take pictures of my feathered friends,
but I really wanted to participate in World Bird Wednesday.

So here it is...but I don't know what it is!!
According to my dear friend
Theresa at The Run*A*Round Ranch
it's an African Crowned Crane,
she called me a "silly girl" for not knowing that!!
Shame on you and thank you Theresa, you have been my blogging angel!

African Crowned Crane

I took these pictures on August 21, 2011, with the Nikon
and never got around to sharing them.
They were taken at Great Adventure, (we don't call it Six Flags),
on a drive thru the Safari.

I think it would qualify, I think it's a bird.
It sure was pretty!!

Please follow the link above to see all the amazing birds from around the world!

Looks exotic. I know I have seen these before, but they are not listed in my field guide :(

You know, New Jersey isn't that far away. Maybe one of these days we can have a photography adventure together :)

Sorry about your camera. I haven't cleaned my sensor yet...not wanting to part with my camera or cash. Still thinking of doing it myself, but need to do more research first. Would you mind sharing the cost of your cleaning? Did you send it to Nikon?
