Ramblings....

I have been cleaning and organizing and organizing and cleaning.
Picking things out and ordering them...we are making grand progress on our make-over.
I finally decided on blinds for the two rooms,
the living room and dining room, and they have been ordered.
1-800-GotJunk is coming on Monday to remove the dining room set, the new table from Pottery Barn is coming on Tuesday, I am so excited.
After the blinds are installed, we will have the hardwood floors installed.

I have found time in the evening to knit,

I finished this hat a few evenings ago a
Violet Beanie
knitted with hand dyed alpaca yarn from The Coop.
I started this at the end of January and put it aside to work on my blanket.
After working on the blanket for over a month,
I needed some color so I picked this up and finished it quickly.

Both of these hats will get pom-poms and are for my nieces for Christmas.

I am back to working on my blanket and reading my book
The One Hundred Years of Lenni and Margot
I am enjoying the book but I am finding it a little bit sad.

I started my fourth ball of yarn on my
in a Wonderfluff Bulky Weight Yarn
70% Baby Alpaca, 23% Nylon, 7% Merino...100% soft and squishy!
Fourth ball of yarn means I am more than half way on the blanket.

I am enjoying my new Better Homes & Gardens magazine.
If you know me or have ever noticed my nails,
I have had a french manicure on my nails for as long as I can remember.
I have switched to this pretty light pink and I love it.
I had my nails done one week ago and they still look perfect.

My orchid is in bloom and the flowers are so pretty.

Yesterday ended with this view out the front door, the sunsets have been so beautiful lately!

Your knitting projects are delightful Debbie. I have about a dozen years of the annual Better Homes and Gardens Cookbooks and subscribed for years. The book sounds intriguing, the orchid is beautiful, as is that sky shot. Have a wonderful weekend coming up.

Those hats are beautiful! I'm sure your nieces will be thrilled when they receive them! I love your new "nail" color! And your orchid is beautiful. I've never had luck growing them! {Sad face} My fried Carol and I were in your neck of the woods last week - Atlantic Highlands - we ate at a wonderful place called Bahr's Landing - it was delicious and oh, the beautiful sights of the water. Was wondering if you or Chuck ever ate there?
Have a wonderful weekend! Hugs!

Maybe that is what March is for...cleansing, organizing and purging as we have been thinking of new furniture as well. We hope we can make it through the month without buying anything as we really don't need it. Your place on the other hand is going to look great, cannot wait to see it!

Dear Debbie!
Hats for nieces look very nice. I also use pink nail polish. I am delighted with your orchid. I have no luck with these flowers. they quickly lose their flowers and bloom sporadically.
Hugs and greetings.

I love your ramblings!! And your NAILS!!! Mine look awful and manicures do not seem to help. Mostly I try and hide my hands.
What beautiful things you make with your needles and lovely yarns!
I hope you show us how everything looks once you get it all done. New is exciting!

Hi Debbie! Love your knitting projects. Still haven't started on any here. Love French manicure, but never have my nails done (with working pottery, they would never last). But I like pale pink too. My 10 year old granddaughter had hers done with gold glitter... (a bit much - and had to remove it as the school didn't allow). Can' wait to see your new room when it's finished.

What a beautiful bloom. And that sky is colorful. That cleaning and organizing can keep you really busy esp with what you have been dealing with.

Oh wow you are going to junk that table, I bet Salvation Army or Goodwill would have picked it up from you for free and give it to someone that could really use one. Maybe next time :)
You are getting good at whipping out those hats, pretty colors too ;)
Congrats on being close to half way done with your blanket.
I have that magazine too, I need to sit down and look at it soon.
Your flower is gorgeous, getting your ready for those spring blooms!

connie, i called EVERYONE trying to get someone to take the table. it breaks my heart to toss everything but that's what we are down to because no one wants it, no one will take it, believe me i tried!! the three pieces are in excellent condition, they are just old and dated. plus, we need to make more room for files and to make the room more of an office, it's what we need to do!!

Organizing and cleaning and cleaning and organizing is also so much more fun when you are doing a bit of a makeover. Your knitting is lovely, those lilacs tones especially caught my eye.
