Hunny, We've Got A Problem

"We've got a problem"
the hubs has said that to me twice in the last year.
The first time was when he spilled the oil based paint on the carpet in the living room.
He had a drop cloth down,
but somehow, when the can hit the carpet, it shot up and out and landed everywhere.
When I say everywhere, I mean everywhere.
Some we were able to clean up, it was on the television, the t.v. stand, the nearby wall unit, the blinds...
everywhere you looked, we didn't bother trying to clean the carpet, we knew it was a loss.

And I know what you are thinking, lets see the carpet...

There it is, nice design, right?! There's more but you get the idea.
We bought 2 area rugs to cover up the spots...
they are rolled up right now because they are coming to remove the dining room set today.
Good thing we rolled them up,
the 2 very nice men who came from 1-800-GotJunk were wet and full of mud,
it was raining.

Have I mentioned that we are doing both of these rooms??
I think I have.
In this picture you can see how the rooms connect,
and why it is necessary to put the hardwood floors in both rooms.
Everything is ordered except a new couch, that I am going to do after everything else is done.
When I can see everything in place and take my time.

So here it goes...

The china cabinet had to be disassembled and carried out in 4 pieces, plus the 8 shelves.
It only took one half for for them to get it all out and drive away.

It's all gone...
except for the dust and there was plenty of that.
When we had these rooms wallpapered, the guy papered around the china cabinet.
The new cabinets I ordered for here will more than cover up the area that is not papered.

The new table is coming tomorrow,
the cabinets are ready to be delivered but I would like to wait to have them delivered
until after the floors have been installed, that company is working with us.

And I was glad I rolled up the area rugs because I may use them once the floors are done.
they are really pretty and they did not get dirty!

That's todays "hunny we've got a problem", I have another to share tomorrow.

Hello Debbie,

Two rooms, the new floors and furniture. That is a lot to deal with, it is hard living with renovations going on. I hope all goes well with the new floors installation and the new furniture. Take care, have a wonderful week!

Lots of work and inconvenience now but it will be so worth it. I have never missed carpet once we had hardwood.

That's a pretty big project but it will be so nice when it is done and fun to pick out new furniture!

You've certainly taken a lot on, but it will be so worthwhile once it's all done.

All the best Jan

It sounds like that all went fairly smoothly getting it removed. I was waiting for you to say you were going to paint a mural on your wall where the wall paper is missing, nice you won't have to wall paper too.

It is nice to redecorate, but big job!
It will be so nice again when finished.

Wow! You have a really gorgeous house. I’ve heard the commercials for Got Junk every day at dinner time. We’re starting to look at contractors for a renovation too and it’s not fun.
