Hunny, We've Got "Another" Problem

My response, "is it a big one"?
The hubs responded "yes".
Here's the story, I will try to keep it short.
Our kitchen sink faucet has been leaking on and off for years.
It's not a huge big deal, while it's in it's leaking phase, the counter gets wet,
I would just leave a dish towel next to it to sop up the water.
The hubs decided we needed a new faucet and took me to a "higher end" plumbing store.
First mistake...
I fell in love with the new faucets they are making now, or perhaps have been making for a century,
so picking that out was quite easy.
But, I would need a new sink to accommodate the new faucet, the new ones only need one hole,
and my old sink had four.
Again, no problem, I quickly found one I loved, so we were done.
YaY!
Everything comes in a few days later and the hubs is doing the install...
Now for the pictures...

Old sink out, easy ~ peasy

There's my beautiful new sink, with all it's attachments.
It's really deep and I love the black/white contrast.

In place, I love how it looks...
and yes, the faucet just clears the cabinet,
I had not thought about that,
stroke of luck.

Almost done,
now it was time to clean up the excess calk...
but now he noticed the problem, the sink was cracked
here...

and here!

Back in the box, we ordered a replacement.
Silver lining, no cooking for a few days!

It is always something....always! I am not sure how I would do dishes in one sink. I wash in one and rinse off in the other. LOL...funny what we get used to. I love the faucet. I put one in a couple yrs ago, high like that and the sprayer is part of it, like yours. I love it. Side note, I think you have the same cabinet pulls as I have....lol

I love your attitude! And what a gorgeous new sink you will soon have! I know y'all will inspect it thoroughly before installing!! That faucet!!! I love that too!!!

Well that's poopy. Was it a re-taped box? Sometimes those have defective items or missing parts from returns. Good luck with the next one! Inspect for problems front and back first! Linda in Kansas

So frustrating, not noticing the cracks until the project is well along.

That is quite the bummer, I do love the new one with the deep sink and the dark faucet too. Wow I wouldn't have thought about it fitting under the cupboards either, glad you didn't have to go pick out another one.

Oh no! Yikes.
So it was cracked when you bought it?

Yay for no cooking. :)
