Saturday's Critters #451

On my latest spin around Lake of the Lilies,
I felt so lucky to see both a Great Blue Heron and a Great Egret, the turtles were a bonus.

Here it looked as though the Heron and the Turtle were having a conversation.

The Heron walked a little which brought three turtles on a rock in to view.
Also the "butt end" of a Canadian Goose.

Four Turtles here, using the rock to get out of the water and sun themselves.

Great Egret...I enjoyed the ever changing reflection

There were two fish in this messy mouthful.
I watch the Egret pick the out and dispose of the rest!

I think this is a young Starling, any thoughts?

- stand tall, stand proud -
- know that you are unique and magnificent and that you do not need the approval of others -

Amazing photos on this beautiful day. I think you got some unique photos of the turtles, and The Great Blue Heron and the butt end of the Candian Goose. I love the photo of the Egret's reflection and the eating moment.
You truly are a fantastic photographer. Book please!!

Excellent photos of the GBH and the egret was a great bonus! We don't see them too often around here.

Such great photos -- that's a wonderful Lake. Can you drive around it? The turtle does look like he's talking to the heron, which must look like a giant to him!
