Paving A New Way

We live on a small road/cul-de-sac, I didn't think it needed paving...
it wasn't bumpy and did not have any large pot holes.
But...last Thursday they paved it.
Afterward,
I was happy to get rid of all the flags in our lawn from the underground, utility markout.
Our lawn service people cut the grass on Friday
and most of the paint markings in the grass are gone now too.
The lawn looks so much better now.

Wednesday, they used a milling machine to mill the road.

Thursday they paved.
Several of these trucks brought the hot pavement here...

and this roller was used to roll it out and get a nice finish on it.

The men worked pretty hard with hand tools.

The roller made several passes and the road came out beautiful!!

Debbi's Front Porch asked about the Vincas around the mailbox,
they have recovered from our "overwatering" and look great!

Your yard looks incredible. We would kill everything in short order as we have no gardening skills at all.

It looks like a great job. That is hard work in the heat of summer.

Your neighborhood and home are lovely, and the road looks excellent and will likely last for many a year. The guys who repaired the road worked hard. Your vincas are cute around the mailbox.

I have noticed too that some roads that never look like they needed anything will get worked and then the ones that are terrible never get touched, don't really understand their reasoning some times. Your flowers around the mailbox look terrific!
