Pier Village, Movie Under The Stars

I talk about Pier Village a lot here...
hereherehere, and here.
It's a newer, hip, beach community, part of a town that is getting a facelift.
Pier Village, located right on the ocean, is in the town of Long Branch,
a town that has really gone downhill over the years.
But it's making a comeback and Pier Village is a huge part of that.
We went for an outdoor movie, but as always, we enjoyed so much more.

Pier Village
Apartments for rent and Condominiums that can be purchased.

You can see the ocean!

Beach Balls made of concrete...

and a carousel that represents a shore town better than any I have ever seen!
This was surely designed with a beach community in mind!

Next up, three of the pictures around the top...

But it was a movie under the stars that brought us here!

Mary Poppins
We were the only people in attendance without children!

Do you remember these iconic scenes?

What a fun evening...

The carousel is unbelievable! I've got two young ones that would absolutely love that! There's one in St Augustine that I used to take Hunter; she always wanted to ride it two or three times. :)

That was a great movie, and for some reason I'd forgotten Dick Van Dyke was in it. :)

It is always good to see derelict communities rebound.

I remember Mary Poppins, mom brought me to the cinema when I was again at the elementary school.
The Pier Village is very beautiful. My grandsons would have a lot of fun at that carousel.

Such a fun outing.
I love it when townscapes are vamped up with such enthusiasm and a feel for the locality. Those beach balls and seats are simple but so inviting and cheery to the eye.
Oh that that Carousel - I can just feel the thrill of children seeing it for the first time. Adults too! Its brilliant and a real treat to see via your blog xx

The carousel never disappoints! Love the planning that went into it. I don't think I've seen Mary Poppins since I was a kid!

I love the carousel with all the different characters to pick to ride, so glad the town is having a come back. We just watched the new Mary Poppins returns on Netflix a couple of days ago, it was pretty good, but nothing like the classics :)

What a fun evening! That carousel is wonderful. Were you by chance the only people without children to ride it as well as to watch the great movie? I’ve done the carousel part without kids and would again ...especially if I could ride a dolphin!

Wow, that is such an awesome adventure. It is always so nice to see a town that makes improvement to update it or save it for that matter. I did enjoy looking at the photos of the Carousel. It was unique with the fish, whale and other sea creatures. I love riding on a Carousel but haven't done so for years.
The movie is such a good one and it watch it outside; is awesome.
Loving thoughts and hugs on this one!
