The Backyard Oasis

The backyard, gardens and pool have brought us so much pleasure this summer!

- the vegetable garden -

- our special resting spot -

- the awning and lights, over top of the comfy chairs -

- the birdbath with potted flowers we made -

- out of this world tomatoes -

- cosmonaut tomato -

- glacier tomatoes -

- one cucumber on the fading cucumber plant -

- flower garden -

- the arbor leading to the pool area -

- the back of the house and the end of the oasis -

Debbie, Your backyard is a glorious retreat. It's a wonder you ever leave home. I love the container gardens . That's how we have done ours over the years. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

You have a beautiful home and I love that big window in the back! The pool looks incredible! I have worn socks so much this summer that I have white feet. I need to sit in the sun and get a foot tan! haha! Hugs!

Beautiful... just realized I am sitting here looking at these photos and imagining being in such a beautiful place, but I have a deck mere feet away that faces a lovely pond and I am inside, on the couch, looking at your yard on a tiny screen! 😂

I love your backyard, it's lovely!! I still love that yellow planter/birdbath, I have to show that to Mr. Front Porch and see if we can put one together too. Your pool is gorgeous....if we had that, I would never get anything DONE as I would be out there swimming and floating all the time, LOL! I think you did say the water is really warm though, not very refreshing due to the heat this summer. Actually warm water might be nice though, it soothes aches and pains, right?--so that might feel good to me. Anyway, it all sure is pretty. Do y'all hire help or do you and hubby do all the lawn work? It all looks very neatly cared for, trimmed, etc. Happy weekend my friend!

Your back garden and pool is a beautiful place in which to enjoy the hot days of summer. The plants are flourishing and to float in that pool with the gorgeous outlook of the river beyond is indeed heaven.

Beautiful place! Glad to see the garden doing so well, except for maybe the groundhog cucumber plant! :-) It's too bad there's not a way to convert the pool into a mini ice skating rink during the winter.
