Paper Whites and Crocus

Each morning when I wake up, I can smell the Paper Whites.
From upstairs the scent is soft - faint.
Once I get downstairs the scent is strong, beautiful, distinctive.
It is a constant reminder that Spring is coming,
that Winter will soon be an afterthought.

On February 23rd...

the light purple Crocus popped out of the ground, right on schedule as I remember.

Then today the dark purple ones bloomed...

there are tiny leaves on the Hydrangeas and signs of Spring are everywhere!!

Another round of excellent photography. Thanks for the peek at the arrival spring. The only sign of spring here is the pussy willows.

So beautiful like you! We're going to have at least one more cold front, but of course not anything like y'all have. :)

I love your paperwhites. Talked to our daughter this afternoon and she said that daffodils, pussy willows, and violets are blooming in her (Oregon) yard. I am not ready to leave here yet, but I sure wish I had a magic carpet this time of year, so I could go home for just a week or two to see her (and other family) AND Spring flowers, which we miss every year these days.

Ooooh your gorgeous Paper Whites were calling me from my sidebar, each time I went to pop over something came up... one of those funny days!
They're fabulous and seem to get better the longer they flower. Perfect photos too!
The crocus are so sweet - you've a teensy weensy saffron hoard there ? So appropriate for those purple lovelies to show too :D) Cheers now xx

We haven't seen any signs of spring yet. Today we did hit 66 degrees out which gives me hope that spring is on it's way. Really loved the photos of these flowers. They are so lovely and I'm sure I would love the scent. I like the name of Paperwhites; it fits.
Hugs for this one!
