The Bonsai in Longwood Gardens...

I have never shared images of the amazing
Bonsai Trees in Longwood Gardens.
It is a large and quite beautiful display.
Each tree is identified and the date of its origination is noted!

Hinoki False Cypress...Training began 1930

Pomegranate...Training began 1960

Ginko...Training began 1909

Bald Cypress...Training began 1988

 Loose-Flower Hornbeam...Training began 1991

Azalea...Training began 1970

And just to add a little color to this post...
here are a few additional images that did not make the cut
on the original post I shared here, back on May 20th.

And here we are Gail, I was thrilled that you "missed us" in my last post!

Oh what beautiful Bonsai. Ron will enjoy these. I just love Bonsai and thinking of all of the work and history that has gone into each one. They are just lovely. So are the regular flowers.

Bonsai are pieces of living art. I have tinkered with them for about 15 years.

Wow- I am so impressed with those who can train trees..it must take a lot of patience and skill, and the end result is just beautiful!

Always love the sweet pictures of the two of you. The Bonsai trees are so interesting. One of the dates is the year before I was born. The flowers are just what I need. I love your flower photos of course.
Hugs!

The bonsai are beautiful. I see two of them were started the year before I was born, I sometimes feel like I am on the way to being as twisted as them too. Love the bright, cheerful colours in the flowers, too. The bougainvillea is stunning.
