The Cherry Blossom Festival, Part II

The Blooms!!

The Washington Monument

The canopy view!!

The Jefferson Memorial

Last year when we went the blooms were white,
this year they were a soft, beautiful pink!!

The happy hubs!!

Happy me...it was still early in the day!!

This was probably my favorite view.

This is my favorite picture.

This one also.

I really love these little clusters, growing out of the tree trunks!!

A few of the trees were this darker pink.

This brings us to about noon on Friday.
This is right about where I stopped smiling.
Not really, but kinda really!!
I am going to invent my own D.C. Tour,
golf carts with canopies and air conditioning,
now that's a tour I'd be interested in!!

Must be the perfect time to visit Washington as your pictures are absolutely gorgeous.....Don't feel bad everybody gets very tired on these kinds of trips where there's lots of walking....

Beautiful pictures Debbie. It looks amazing there.

These are amazing ~ I think what strikes me is just how many of these trees are collected in one spot. We all see one or two of them flowering here and there on a lawn or two. BUT, this collection of these trees in such a beautiful city is stunning! The little "clumps" growing out of the trunks of the trees are super cool!!

Gorgeous pictures! I love the Jefferson Memorial and that shot of the Memorial framed in the blossoms is just fantastic! I hear you about wanting the golf cart tour. Don't blame you.

Debbie, these shots are so pretty, every one of them. Such a lovely blossom.
The heat always makes me exhausted and a tiny bit cranky - so I totally understand how you felt. Thanks for sharing your lovely piccies.

There are not enough superlatives to describe these photographs! Your favorite is most definitely my favorite. Amazing framing in that one.
Beautifully done Debbie!

Debbie, lovely shots of the Cherry Blossoms. It is a lot of walking around the Cherry Blossom festival. I remember being there last year, it was so crowded and hot. It is a fun time though, the trees are gorgeous. I hope you had a great weekend.

So glad you got to see those cherry blossoms. We were there a couple of weekends ago with my in-law's. They hadn't quite reached their peak but were still beautiful. Great shots!

I can just see these pictures someday in a picture book. I loved the photos and they are magazine or book worthy. We have been blessed to go to Washington DC three times and I loved that area. This is how non smart I am. On the first trip I thought the Smithsoniann Institude was just one building. I soon found such a wonderful avenue of learning as I went through as many of the buildings as I had time for. Thanks for some memories today and the beautiful pictures and especially of your hubby and you.
