Howe Street Beach

A walk on the beach, or a sit on the bench, was just what was needed on this warm and breezy day.
If you live at the Jersey Shore,
you understand the need to go and "check" on the ocean every now and again.
It's beauty really lifts my spirits,
the breeze brings the ocean mist and smell of salt water right up to my face.
Everything about this place makes life better!

- shell garland -

- coastal rocks -

- native trees, shrubs and vines -

- dune grass -

- my bench -

- snow fence -

Each holiday, an older, very kind man comes and decorates with shell art just like this.
I met him once, I was there and he was sleeping on a bench.
When he woke up, I asked him who was responsible for all this creative work...
and he said "me"!
We spoke for several minutes but he did not want his picture taken, and that was ok!

I love the shots of the shore. The rocks look like a sea monster to me. I love that. How fun.

How lovely these photographs are, I wouldn't mind sitting a while on that bench.
The shell art is pretty isn't it.

HI Debbie :)
Wonderful photos of the beach. The shell garland and the creative shell artwork on the sand tells it's own story others love the beach too, and I love the beach which is only 25mins away by car.Come nicer weather I'll be enjoying the ocean and the sound of the waves upon the
shore. When I used to live by the sea I walked on the soft white sand all along the coast to the next beach. I understand your need to visit the beach, at certain times it calls to us.
All the best
Sonjia.

This is such a beautiful place. I can see why you love it. The gorgeous blue water against the blue sky - the dune grass and fences - the whimsical shell garland and artwork - it's all so wonderful. And the elderly gentleman...how very sweet. So glad you have this special place to enjoy, my dear. x

Thanks, Debbie, for sharing your love of the Jersey shore. My husband worked at Island Beach State Park after retirement and it was his favorite place. I can see how much joy it brings to you.

Do I miss this!!! with my whole heart and soul!!! Bless you, dear friend Debbie, for the most beautiful pictures that bring me there even tho I'm living in .... well, you know
