A Stroll On The Asbury Park Boardwalk

This past Sunday, we decided to go for a walk/ride on the Ocean Grove boardwalk.
We ended up in Asbury Park, the boardwalks connect as the towns are right next to each other.
I wanted to check on the fox that usually nest annually under the boardwalk,
they were not there, but we just continued in that direction, it was a good decision.
The sun was so bright in the sky, the temperature was so warm...
it felt like summer.
It looked like summer as well, the boardwalk and the beaches were packed with people.
That's not really my jam but it felt so good to be out,
the sun felt awesome...so we stayed, had a really nice walk and enjoyed the view of the ocean.

When we got to the Convention Center, there was a small showing of cars, maybe 10.
I really enjoyed seeing the cars.

We had dinner at one of our favorite restaurants

which means "star of the sea" their spaghetti and meatballs is the best I have ever eaten.
We each had a bowl of spaghetti and shared the meatballs.

The hubs was a real sport, posing in the male mermaid cutout!!

Things at Asbury Park have changed since I was there in 1964. The house where we stay doesn't appear to be there anymore. I remember we use to be able to walk to the club on the beach to play shuffle board. Now I see lots of sand and a road.

That sounds like a great day! So much work goes into restoring those beautiful cars! Wonderful photos.

Great looking cars and they all appear to be immaculate! It's hard to beat a visit to the ocean and then a fine dinner!

It does look like it was a beautiful beach day for sure. There is some really cool cars for sure. I am trying to think if I ever had spaghetti out in a restaurant. I usually go for stuff I wouldn't cook myself or is a lot of work :)
