Allaire State Park is one of our favorite places to visit and take a walk.
Monday evening,
we decided to take a drive there and walk during the quiet time of day as the air cooled off.
Dusk is such a pretty time of day and we walked the bicycle path which has a few new bluebird boxes.
First we stopped to see the garden, on the right, at the entrance to the park.
If you ever visit, be sure to stop and see it.
I don't know who planted this or maintains it but this garden is really special.
So many of the plants are planted in pieces of trees, I love that!
This beautiful planting hides the fence post.
Don't miss all of the small, wonderful details.
During our walk we saw several new bluebird boxes and bluebirds.
They were just this blue, bluer than I have ever seen.
We saw a lot of wild strawberries...
and some really pretty wildflowers.
We did not enter the park but you can see a recent post that shows the buildings and inside the park
It is a wonderful historic park.

The garden, plants and flowers are pretty.
I just love the bluebirds!
Take care, enjoy your day!
Someone took a lot of time and care creating that garden!
My kind of place, a delightful walk and so much eye candy! I love how they used the old tree stumps as planters, the bluebirds were so cute and those bird boxes. Pretty flowers! Everything about this place just draws me in. Thanks for sharing Debbie!
Beautiful photographs.
That bluebird is so blue.
All the best Jan

A walk in or near a park is always nice and it looks like you had great weather too, Debbie. The plantings in the tree stumps is a great re-use too.
