The Star Of The Gardens

It is the Hydrangeas turn to shine in the garden, and they are shining magnificently right now.

I always bring some indoors so I can enjoy them all day.

There are 2 here, one on either side of the fence by the gate, leading to the backyard.

This is my Endless Summer which produces blooms all summer long.

Peegee Hydrangea

The Hibiscus is also gorgeous right now.

I have two pretty Cone Flowers

and 2 gorgeous Butterfly Bushes, this one is Miss Molly.

Beautiful! Do you work on those yourself? It must take you hours to water, weed and maintain them. Well worth the effort though!

jim and barb...the husband and i do a lot of the work ourselves. we have a company that cuts the law and they do some/general maintenance (edging, blowing) but the rest we do. he does all of the mulching and i keep up with the dead heading...once the beds are mulched we don't get a ton of weeds. we both work on the vegetable garden. we live in a tourist area that gets very crowded and since we have the pool, we are home a lot during the summer!

I saw one butterfly yesterday black with yellow spots on the wings. Maybe it’s one of yours.

Debbie! How beautiful summer is around your wonderful yard. I adore hydrangeas -- they are beautiful in every phase -- budding, full bloom, and even later when drying on the vine. Yours are absolutely perfect.

Oh, my dear friend, your flower photos today are spectacular. I would be afraid to show you where are flowers once bloomed. It's been a bad season for flowers this year due to the drought here. That makes your photos even more special to me. Thanks for sharing all of these gorgeous photos today. Now I think you should do a book of flowers, butterflies and birds. I would buy it.
Sending hugs your way!
