Historic Allaire State Park

Allaire State Park is probably our favorite State Park to visit in this area.
If you happen to live in New Jersey or plan to visit, all State Parks have free admission for 2022.
Here is a great place to read about New Jersey parks and the best beaches to visit while here.
If you are interested, you can read more about the park here.

Happy Spring

This is the Church I wanted to get married in, it did not happen.
The Church does hold weddings but my parents would not allow me to get married here.

Blacksmith

Blast Furnace

Barns

The General Store

Carpenters Shop

The Herb Garden

Wheel-Wright Shop

The Bakery

- a walk in the park is filled with many emotions,
a walk through the park has more reactions than emotions -

Allaire is one of my favorite places. As soon as I park and get out of my car, my whole body relaxes. A step back in time and nature. It's good for my soul!

hi debbi, my mom told me that the minister from our church would only marry us is his/our church. my mom worked at the church and did not want to rock the boat and i was only 19 and therefore always did what my parents told me to do. it was so important to the hubs and i to marry in this church because we came here a lot while we were dating and talked about getting married here!!

we are expecting storms later today...i love a good storm!!

We went to an old settlement park last year in Michigan that had people dressed up in period clothing actually operating the blacksmith shop and other buildings. It was very interesting.

I am sorry you couldn't get married there. It may not be the same, but you could hold a small ceremony there for an anniversary. That would be very nice. It is such a beautiful place. I love all the green, we don't have that here in California.
