The Wizard Of Oz

I purchased tickets for The Wizard of Oz, two years ago for a performance in May 2020.
It was rescheduled due to Covid for May 2021.

May 2021's performance was rescheduled for May 2022 now it was finally time to

"follow the yellow brick road"
and boy was I ready.
We had great seats, the first row of the first mezzanine in

We have been here before and the theater is so elegant.

They never announced no pictures, I gave it a go but was quickly tapped on the shoulder.
I had already taken these two, everything was so colorful and the sets were beautifully made.

Emily, the girl who played Dorothy was amazing.
Blessed with an extraordinary voice,
she looked the part and her acting talent was beyond impressive.

Emily's family was sitting directly behind us, I was thrilled...and felt so lucky to meet them.
We became "fast friends" and had a lovely conversation.
I just happen to mention my blog, you know, so they could see my post about the show.
Emily's mom has already reached out to me, it seems we have a bit in common.
She too is living with MS and has written a book about treating MS and its "annoying" symptoms.

I met Dorothy, Emily...she is adorable and will be a super star one day.

I met Toto too, well kind of...
it was so difficult to get past those little ones with their phones.

I was so touched by the extreme talent in this production of The Wizard of Oz...
and also reminded of why I love this story so much.

Yay! A return to theatre. Our grandkids will be able to use their tickets for Anne of Green Gables, the ballet. They’ve had the tickets for two years as well.

Nothing like a live performance. I would have enjoyed this so much! Meeting the performers and their families would have been a real treat, and I can tell you loved it all. Great photos Debbie :)

Debbie, you sprinkle sunshine wherever you go. Fabulous you could finally see The Wizard of Oz and enjoy the show. It truly is an elegant theatre. How wonderful you were able to meet Emily and her mother and able to talk about MS. It seems you were meant to cross one another's paths.

This was surely a long time in coming wasn't it and sounds like it was just perfect meeting the family and Dorthy herself. Looks like it was a very colorful set they had. That is so cute seeing all the kids gathering around to see Toto :). You just never know when you are going to meet people that you have things in common with.

Glad you got to venture to live theatre. Being from Kansas, I can say that the doggie is certainly a tiny Toto.
We just went to a twice rescheduled performance of The Trockaderos, the all male ballet group who perform beautifully, respectfully, but does parody of the original ballets. It was a hoot, and I feel like I'd just escaped from a covid cage to be able to more safely attend a show. Linda in Kansas

How perfectly wonderful!! We haven't been to a real live play in years!! Louis Dean's favorites have been Cats and Ring of Fire.
How like you to chat someone up and find a true connection!!
