The Things You See Along The Way

We always take the back roads...
Old age and retirement gives us that freedom.

The hubs saw this shed as we passed by it...
he commented that we had passed an old structure that he thought I would like.
"turn around" I said, and he did.
As I snapped a picture or two I noticed a man walking toward the car...he had been sitting outside.
oh no, I thought, I am going to get in trouble again.
But it was quite the opposite...
We met Bill, such a happy, gentle, kind soul.
We chatted for some time,
until someone from the household came home and needed to pull into the driveway.
I felt like we could have talked for hours.
This shed is quite famous he said, a lot of people have stopped, and taken pictures in front of it.
He loves that people appreciate it.
He sets up a vegetable stand here in the summer, I promised I would come back.

We passed this tree on our way home, turned around to get a picture of it...
what a beauty!

- fall has always been my favorite season...
the time when everything bursts with it's last beauty,
as if  nature has been saving up all year for it's grand finale -

So nice you were able to talk with him about the shed.
Gorgeous tree, I love how it pops against the other green trees around it!
