Getting Ready For Christmas

It will only be the three of us...
Mike is here, and the hubs and I, but I still want to have some fun.

I have these three games to help pass the time and make the day fun.

Christmas Crackers

All of my gifts are wrapped and under the tree.
There are only a few presents, most gifts were mailed.
My presents usually look better,
I was not able to get out and buy the special ribbons
and bows I usually use on my gifts.

Santa took a spin thru the neighborhood on a firetruck,
I was so happy I was home.

I baked another batch of butter cookies,
tomorrow I am going to bake thumbprint cookies,
I will share pictures with you tomorrow.

We got another little sprinkle of snow that lasted about 5 minutes.
Could I please get some measurable snow...
is that too much to ask for from Santa?

Now that's a lot of baking. Everything looks delicious. I can just imagine all the hilarity you three will enjoy playing those games.

Looks like you're going to have fun! Things are certainly different this year, but there are ways to make it enjoyable.

Cookies look wonderful... I keep finding little things I miss, like your example of the Christmas ribbons , where one of us used to be able to dash to the store and pick up when we needed it. Now, It’s just not worth the extra exposure! Normal will return eventually! Glad your son can be with you. Merry Christmas.

It all looks perfect! You are so clever with those word games and fun things to do! Y’all will have a great time together....sometimes smaller is better.....
Our group will not be large but just Amber, Mike and the quads make 6. I’m hoping to seat everyone at three different tables and in three different rooms but that should work. I like sit down at the table meals. My favorite memories each Christmas is listening to the family talk at the table. When the quads were small, Louis Dean and I would sit in the den with them to eat and leave my four grown up children to enjoy being together in the dining room. I think this year Louis Dean and I may sit at the little table in the kitchen with the quads at the den table and the others in the dining room. Summer and Rayne and Sabrina won’t be here this year but they are loving their time in a Puerto Rico!
Merry Christmas, Debbie.....to you and Chuck and your son.....

Looks like you have some fun games ready. Fun to have Santa drive through the neighborhood.
I made some peanut butter cookies with whole wheat flour so they would be better for us and oh my they don't taste good at all. It's too warm here to snow, but Christmas eve is only going to be a high of 28.

I am with you on the snow part. We only got a sprinkling of snow here and not much to hope for. I would have thought you would have gotten more.
I am excited your son will be with you. I love your fun ideas. I like the word games a lot. I think your Christmas Tree and gifts are spectacular. It all looks lovely. The Christmas Crackers containers ae adorable.
How to to see Santa gong through the neighborhood; that's awesome. Your cookies look yummy. I'm looking forward to making some fudge maybe tomorrow. I mostly want to get our gifts wrapped.
Have a sweet Christmas week, dear friend! Enjoy all the special moments. Hugs~

I love your little snow-men and the games look so fun! Santa on the firetruck must have thrilled all the little ones - such a strange year for all the kiddos and so nice to see how everyone is trying to make things better for them. Your presents look wonderful - that giraffe - I want it! Delicious-looking cookies. We are getting our first snow tonight, but it's not expected to stick around long. It was 61 degrees earlier today. Strange weather.....Hope you have a lovely Christmas. Hugs xo
