Saturday Critters ~ 312 ~

Sparrows are everywhere in Washington, D.C.,
I was hoping to see the "Lincoln Sparrow" in "Washington", but no such luck.

Pictured here are House Sparrows also called English Sparrows.
This is a very common Sparrow seen in just about any urban area or park.

They are sweet, little birds, their feather pattern is gorgeous.
They don't get much attention, perhaps because they are brown!
They have a pleasant "chirup, chireep, chirup, song, they are always busy and so fun to watch.

These Sparrows are in nearly every country of the world and I still admire them Debbie.

Many people find them annoying. For me, that is not the case. Great pix, Debbie...:)jp

They didn't seem to mind being photographed...probably used to that sort of thing! Tourists! LOL!

I love the way those little birds puff up in the cold. Sparrows are wonderful creatures. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen house sparrows though.

Hello Debbie, wonderful series of Sparrows photos. I've been seeing one in my yard, it is not Often they show up here. They like the city or nearby town. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend. PS, thank for visit and commenting on my blog.

I will admit they have pretty feather details.I can't say I like to have them around, as they make a huge mess and take over with their abundant numbers.

this is the most birds we have in our yard, they hang out in our pine trees :) They do have all kinds of patterns that's for sure!

Your photo after photo of this sweet little bird are lovely. I must admit I have never been blown away by the sparrow's brown colouring but you have changed my mind. The patterns on those feathers are intricate, aren't they.

I love sparrows! The ones in my neighborhood, chiefly the pair who call my yard home, are a little slow. They nest in the oddest places.

House sparrows may be common, but pictures like you take are definitely not. I always like watching them
