I Love Pinterest

When I visit the beach,
I pick up unusual shells and rocks in addition to my sea glass.

I saw this (you have to click on this) cute piece of art on Pinterest and decided to save it.
When I opened the link, I realized it was for sale on Etsy for $ 125.00.
Initially, when I saved it, it was never my intention to buy it, only to copy it...
I knew it would be easy and the only thing I needed was a small tree branch.

There was a bit of trial and error, moving things around a little....

and here it is finished...it only took about 5 minutes to put together.
I need an 8 x 8 shadow box frame for it...
I have only been able to find one, and I don't really like it.
I am trying to decide if I should add more pencil work to this, or leave it just like it is.
If you have an opinion, leave it for me in the comments.
The one I was copying is more detailed than mine, mine is kinda' a "Plain Jane".

It turned out adorable. I'd leave it like it is. I find if you like something you've created and then decide "Oh, I need to add something" you have overworked it and it often doesn't have that appeal it once did". Just my two cents worth.

I think the tree could use a little more action but over-all it is great.

NO MORE!!!!! This is purrrrrrrfect!

When doing another one, you can experiment with more pencil.

But not on this one.

Your first is perfect, just as it is!

Mmmm, do you put a drop of glue on each object, to hold them to the paper? Something like that, I'm sure.

Such unique Art Work!

pinterest is a great place for people to "SHARE" creative ideas, pictures, recipes, sewing projects...anything and everything. i am always honored when someone pins one of my ideas and better yet to see them recreate it. that's the idea behind pinterest, to share with one another great ideas and recipes - to encourage and inspire each other!!!

It is perfect as is. Adding any more may make it cluttered. Great job.

I want to play with this too, (we did as children all the time) a friend of mine has been creating a bunch too, and she's making me itch to this too! Lovely work Debbie!

How cute is that and so clever to use your found items for a little scene, I would say it doesn't need anything else, love the blue heart shape and the cute little bird in the tree too!
