Saturday Critters ~ 68 ~

Is it safe to say that we have had our last snow of the season here at the
Jersey Shore??

I have always referred to the Chickadees as Snowbirds,
I think they are ready to say goodbye to the Winter,
and to welcome Spring.

So lets take one last look at the Snowbirds,
in the snow!

I think you take the best pictures of birds, they are so very sweet!!! We were stationed at McGuire AFB for 5 years before being stationed here. I remember some pretty big snowfalls, hope spring is here for you now to enjoy! Happy Easter!

Critter-fantastic! Funny you mention is this the last of winter? Hmm, we had spring finally weighing in with 82 hot (but windy) day and mostly 70's, but oh dear, yesterday a sunny, cold and windy day again, and gosh darn the weather girl said a wintry mix over night! She's lucky I didn't catch any here! So are we ever going to be out of the winter woods? I wish I knew!

I adore chickadees. And your pics are wonderful. But snowbirds are people like me who fly away from the winter weather and head south ))). Our RV resort is full of them. (Seriously that really is what we're called. The Fort Myers paper headline the other day said 'traffic will improve as snowbirds head North".

I have a pair that come every spring to nest near my screen porch its a delight to watch them tend to their babies but they can get a little loud at times but I still enjoy their company. You take great photos of birds, I heard it's not that easy. I hope you & your family have a wonderful Easter Sunday.

Oh these photos are spectacular. I love the colors and the sweetness of this little Snowbird.
I do hope you have received your last snow storm. We really need more moisture here in Utah.
It would be lovely if it would rain a bit. I do love hearing the birds sing outside my bedroom window in the mornings. I feel that spring as sprung.
Hugs for this one!

oohhhhh it's so delightful to have babies!!! every year, when i hang my spring wreath on my front door, i know they are coming. and it never fails...every year, they build a nest in the wreath and call my home, their home!!! i simply love it!!!!

next up, the sign on the front door "we have babies living here, all friends use our back door please".....we need to keep mom and dad stress free and out of my house. opening the front door can be fatal!!!!!

Yes they surley seem to build nest in odd places. They first build their little nest in my clothespin bag, second year I bought them a cute birdhouse hung it they didn't go near it so for curiosity I got the clothespin bag hung that near the birdhouse, well they chose the old clothespin bag. Lol
