There's A New Kid In Town...

A Baltimore Oriole...

it's a "she"!!

She's quite the poser and she loves all the attention!!
I can't tell you how excited I am to have a new companion.
Or how beautiful she is in flight.
Once we get to know each other better, I know I will be getting better pictures!
ooohhhh and I got her some oranges!!

and before you know it, she'll have you hocking your jewelry to keep her in oranges when they are out of season - just ask me, i still have these darn "rare as in no one else sees them" pinon jays hanging around...

they really never grow up and leave you, but as long as you are prepared for that... ;)

Wow, your Oriole sure does add some lovely color to your yard! Do you know how lucky you are to see an Oriole in January. I thought they would all be in Central America now. They do love oranges, grape jelly and suet. Enjoy! Great shots!

You lucky, lucky girl! She is a beauty. I didn't realize the females had that much color. You captured her in some terrific poses. That green foliage in the last shot is perfection. Can't wait to see more!
