The Broken Butterfly

I am feeling a little tethered and torn,
like this pretty Swallowtail I photographed in October.

From this view, the butterfly looks perfect...

from here, you can see his journey has taken it's toll!!

He's capable, not perfect...

and perhaps even a little stronger then the others.
He is flying and surviving, with broken wings!!

I am so happy to be sharing my pictures with
Please stop by and view all the amazing entries from around the world!!

Oh my Dear, I'm sorry you are feeling tethered and torn this morning. Sending lots and lots of gentle hugs your way....

But like that still lovely butterfly, you are still capable. You can still *do.* Etc.

But then, there is always the possibility, that you are trying to do too much.... Perhaps? Perhaps...?

Hugs...

It was one of the days when the glitter of winter shines..."

I know the feeling Debbie :(

Simply gorgeous shots of this fragile looking little wounded one. The will to survive is strong.

Oh I know that feeling sometimes Debbie. Poor thing that torn wing made me cringe a wee bit.

I think this is a beautiful reminder that we all can still fly even when our wings get a little damaged! Great photos of the not so perfect but brave and beautiful butterfly!

Hey Debbie. I feel that way at times also, but I try to always think of someone else being worse off. Then that makes me feel better, believe it or not. Not that I am glad that someone else is worse off. Please don't take it that way.
Hope you have a better afternoon.
Ana

gorgeous butterfly even with the broken or torn wings.

I bet you do feel a little torn up. It'll get better every day you do your best to put one foot in front of the other! Love you dear friend, all will be ok!

Oh, these photographs make me feel encouraged and slightly sad at the same time.
Isn't it true of all of us - not perfect but still capable of so much?

When I see the butterflys at the end of summer all tattered and torn it always breaks my heart.
I know it has been hard and I bet you do feel that way.

Such tenderness. Your sensitivity helps us sit a little while longer with the wounded parts of ourselves and look for the strength that can some. These photos are beautiful!
