Saturday's Critters #424

We have blizzard conditions here right now,

at least 18 inches of snow has fallen, and it is still coming down.

The plan for today was to take pictures in the early morning of the birds enjoying the snow,
 and then share them here.

With the snow falling and blowing in front of my lens, it is almost impossible to get a clear picture.

So here are a few that are not horribly bad.

This Carolina Wren is playing it smart, sitting on the suet under our overhang.

Sharing today's images with Eileen at

That is a lot of snow!
Glad you feed the birds, so they can survive this cold weather.
Have a great week end!

So gooooorgeous!

Isn't it weird that water can be fluffy? Snow amazes me.

Love your pics! And Wrens are the cutest birds... we had one that fussed and fussed at DH once. She had built a nest in a hanging plant on the back porch and he put the smoker right under her nest. She didn't like it and let him know!

Still with all of the snow and blizzard conditions you created another lovely post. Stay safe and warm and enjoy your weekend and this snowy bump in the road.

Hello Debbie,
Most of the snow missed us, we only had maybe an inch. It was in southern Maryland and along the coast more.
Your feeder birds appreciate you providing them food, during a snow storm. I love all the birds, the wren is especially cute. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a happy weekend. PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.

That's so wonderful to feed the little birds. We are having to keep our feeders full too, we have so many birds right now! So if you are missing some...they have flown South! heehee! Stay warm and safe during this terrible weather! Hugs!

I would love that amount of snow coming down. Call me crazy, but I love a good blizzard.

Debbie, I loved seeing all the birds. Trying to keep some feed around here. I hate to think of them being hungry and cold. Blessings, stay safe, xoxo, Susie

The snow looks amazing nevertheless.

This storm almost missed us in western Virginia. We only got an inch while folks in eastern Virginia got a lot more.

Hope you are warm and safe in your home. The snow images look wonderful and I am sure the birds are grateful for the food you leave out for them Debbie. Have a wonderful and safe week ahead

Hello Debbie,:=) How dreadful to have blizzard conditions. The snow looks pretty in your pictures. but it's not fun to have to stay indoors. Your photos of the birds are wonderful,... the Carolina Wren is not only smart, but such a pretty bird.
Hope your weather conditions improve.
All the best.

Your arrangement for feeding the birds looks very generous and practical. I wonder if they really suffer from the cold or whether they actually are adapted to it.

Looks beautiful Debbie! I love the birds especially. I hope you keep your power. I have been reading about all the people without theirs. Wow on the 18 inches!

You finally got your snow, I bet your so excited, nice that you can keep them filled from inside the house. I would say you got some great pics even with the crazy snow storm :) They look a little poofed up, trying to stay warm :) Enjoy!

Wow, I think you got excellent shots of these spectacular birds. There's a touch of snow on some of them. I sometimes think they are smarter than we think. It's fun to hear when they do something interesting.
The scenery of snow is beautiful.
Blessings and hugs!
