Ooey-Gooey Butter Cake

They say everything is better with butter, right?
Well, yes, they are correct!
This cake is a sugar bomb, but it is so warm and soothing, with a delightfully rich, buttery taste.
It is easy to make, with just 7 ingredients that you may already have on hand.
If you don't, go to the market, get them, make this, believe me when I tell you, you will not be sorry.

Paula Deens original recipe can be found here.

- ingredients -
plus one box of powdered sugar, I forgot to add it to the picture, but I remembered for the cake.

Combine the cake mix, 1 egg and 8 tablespoons of melted butter.
Mix well with an electric mixer.
Pat the mixture into the bottom of a lightly greased 13 x 9 inch baking dish.

- I forgot to take a picture -

In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
Add 2 eggs, 1 teaspoon of vanilla, and 8 tablespoons of melted butter and beat together.
Add 1 box of powdered sugar, mix well.

Spread mixture over cake batter and bake at 350 degrees for 40 - 50 minutes.
Be sure not to over bake, the center should be gooey.

Cool slightly, serve when still warm...it's so good!

- life is what you bake of it -
