Puzzle Time

We have a love - hate relationship with puzzles around here.
We like to put one together every Christmas, but there are times when...well...
we are not sure we are in love.

First we said good-bye to last years puzzle,
that had been stored, rolled up on the yellow mat.
It is a puzzle mat,
specifically designed for puzzles.
The snowman puzzle is 1000 pieces, never doing that again!

This one is 500, still very difficult.

We finished it in one day, I'm not sure that was our intention,
but no-one wanted to stop.
I'm not sure how long it took, but 2 and 1/2 people,
I'm the 1/2, I wasn't feeling well...
off and on, maybe 1/2 a day.

My Gingerbread House is done,
we all worked on it Sunday and this was a lot of fun!

We took a walk outside to see the whole
Jupiter - Saturn thing.
I used "Night Sky" on my phone but we could not see it.
There were too many natural elements blocking it.

So I took a picture of Night Sky, just to prove we tried!

The puzzles are beautiful but hard with all that snow:) Wished you could have seen the star, we were able to and even though it didn't look like the pictures it was indeed to planets.

Dear Debbie!
May this Christmas bring smiles at your doorstep joy in your heart
and love and togetherness of friends and family in your home.

Debbie, Your fellows are certainly concentrating while working the puzzle. What a fun family time. Hope you are better. I did go out last night and I could see the planets...which I have been calling The Star. It was exciting for me, as I love sky events. Merry Christmas to you and your family. Blessings always, xoxo, Susie

That really does look like fun and I love your gingerbread house. I hope you are feeling much better now. I know it's hard with good days and bad. Take care of yourself and enjoy the week. holiday hugs!

Oh, Debbie... we are still working (kind of) on the 2000 piece puzzle we started months ago. We got frustrated with it, so it just sits there unless one of us gives it another go. So far we have refused to give up... but have decided to give it a rest for now. I like your snowman! Hope you and yours have a wonderful Christmas week!

I like small simple ones, but those big ones just defeat me.

I think you are so fun. We haven't done a puzzle for a long time. I love the Snowman one and I can see that it was a big one to do. The one you finished in one day is lovely, I love that scene. I do hope you are feeling better. The Gingerbread House is adorable.
We got one to do from Costco and then ended up giving it to our Daughter's family. I would still love to do one of those.
We just barely got a glimpse of the stars and then we they disappeared.
Have a wonderful Christmas Eve celebration with your family.
Christmas blessings and hugs!

I'm not much of a puzzle person, but I know someone who LOVES them! :-) Your gingerbread house looks great! I haven't tried looking for Jupiter/Saturn. They're supposed to be visible through Christmas at least.

You have good taste in Puzzles, I love both of them, 1000 would be a bit much. We actually bought a mat this year for a puzzle and never did the Autumn one we bought, don't know if we will break one out for Christmas time or not.
Your gingerbread house is too cute, I still haven't made one myself.
That is a cool app on your phone, Greg has photo pill that he uses to figure out where the milkyway should be. did you see the pics he took on Facebook, I will have to say I enjoyed the sunset a lot more.
Merriest of Christmas to you and the family!
