A Barn In West Virginia

I was cleaning up the pictures on my computer yesterday,
- that is such an overwhelming task isn't it -
and I came across some pictures of the barn my niece was married in.
Of course I took pictures of the usual suspects at the wedding, her wedding pictures are here,
but I wandered around just a little and found some interesting elements of the barn itself,
worthy of sharing here.

There were a few horses, not many...and they were definitely not interested in me.

These are pictures of the countryside in West Virginia...

I don't think I have ever been here and the landscape was beautiful!

I hope you enjoyed these, they almost landed in the trash bin.

Awesome barn and it looks like you had it to yourself for photos! Though I'm not a native, I did grow up in WV. It has some beautiful hills and mountains.

I only ever travelled through West Virginia once, many, many years ago, and I confess I have very little memory of it, so it is good to see these pictures.

Those horses are really treated like jailbirds, huh

Looking at the horse pictures makes me smile. I just love them. My husband says all they so is eat and poo. I said don't they communicate with one another and he is still laughing at me. :) Blessings, xoxo, Susie
p.s. I am missing butterflies sweet girl...it's so cold here this morning.

My Grandmother had a sewing machine like that one and made many things on it. Beautiful barn and horses.

The layers in the last photo are intriguing, I love the sewing machine table and the washboards too.

So glad you were able to save them, Love the barn shots, that was cool what they did with the mirror. We went to West Virginia years ago on our way to visit my father in law when he lived in North Carolina and we drove the back roads through the coal mining area, that was very interesting, would like to go back again some day.

I love those stall doors, and the rest of the shots are pretty too. Love barns! Beautiful horses- the gray one reminds me of our Grady. He passed away a few years ago and he was my husband's favorite.

That old sewing machine cabinet looks familiar. I think way back my Mom used to have something like that.

That barn was full of greatness! I used to have a washboard like those on the wall in our utility room ...an attractive wall hanging and .a nice reminder that doing laundry for six people wasn’t anywhere near as daunting a task as it would have been in another century.
