The Nor'Easter At Sea

I don't have much faith in the weather peeps,
if they say rain, I know we will have a beautiful, sunny day!
Last week they kept talking about a big nor'easter out in the ocean.
They did not forecast rain here on land, just wind...
and here it comes, I hate to say it, but boy were they right.
Yep, it was windy.
So I give them props, they were right with their estimation of 50 mph winds.

On Thursday, we went down to see the ocean, the waves were massive.
The hubs and I estimate them to be about 10 feet high.
And as you may be able to see, the beach itself can not be seen,
gobbled up by the ocean.

It was such a beautiful day, except for the wind.
I had "styled" my hair in the morning and by days end, it looked completely different.
It was not a picture day for me!
These pictures were taken in Bay Head, New Jersey.

Hello, this storm hit a lot of coastline on the east coast. It is neat seeing the waves so big, I hope there was no flooding. The flowers are pretty. Great series of photos. Enjoy your day, wishing you a happy new week!

The waves are always amazing to see.
As an old sailor I have many memories about the high waves.

That ocean looks fierce - but then, such a beautiful blue sky!

Great beachy photos and the waves look very dramatic. Lovely to see flowers growing in the sand :)

That water looks very angry. I do like seeing these scenes, but I really don't like strong winds, at any time.

Love those waves! I'm glad you went. I share your skepticism of forecasts...it's usually a 50/50 proposition.

Thanks for taking the time to discuss and share this with us, I for one feel strongly about it and really enjoyed learning more about this topic. Please share some more useful info on British Curriculum School In Dubai also. I can see that you possess a degree of expertise on this subject.

Oh wow these windy days sure do bring on the waves, we are in Connecticut right now visiting with our daughter and we have seen our share of waves but not like this yet, we are heading out in just a few, we had some really bad rain last night so we are curious what the water looks like today, it does leave the hair a mess that's for sure, love the waves you got and those pretty beach flowers!
