Sunday At Rhinebeck

I went outside early on Sunday, to capture the beauty that was surrounding our temporary home.
It was cool and foggy with lots of beautiful autumn colors.

These first three images are of the view out back, from our patio.

The next three were taken in the front.

My fiber family!

The festival was held on the Duchess County Fairgrounds

There were so many clever and creative things to see.

Liz and mom Dee

This is the sheep to shawl competition!
You have to finish by 1 pm or you are disqualified!!

We watched the "Leaping Lamas" competition...
None of my pictures are in focus to share but it is just that...
Lamas, leaping over a polka stick that is raised after each round.
The winner is that last Lama leaping without hitting the polka stick.
Sheep and alpaca participate too.

That's it folks, we drove home Sunday in the rain.
But the company was awesome, Dee, Liz and Leanne...many thanks to Dee for driving.
This was the best weekend ever!

Love the leapers :D) Beautiful autumn colours - those trees are wonderful. I'm really taken with those crocheted girls on the wire fence - they have such attitude xx

Wow I love that idea for a competition. What beautiful views. Here we are in shorts today and it looks like a perfect day in October there. I am so glad you had such a nice day/weekend.

Oh how fun, love the knitted girls on the fence and such beautiful Autumn scenery that you were able to see. Were they able to make a shawl by the deadline, I can't imagine being able to do that in a day, but would be neat to see. Sure sounds like it was a fun and interesting weekend!
