Sprucing Up The Neighborhood

Our local shopping plaza has put a new facade on the entire building.
They also enhanced this small area for shoppers who need a place to sit and relax.
The make-over is not complete,
but I'll show you how cute it looks right now.
They call it the "Boardwalk", because we are a beach, boardwalk community,
and it looks like a boardwalk.

Entrance

A little seat to sit and pose for a picture!

Boardwalk boards, this path connects one area of the shopping mall to the other.

Seagulls

Water Feature

Lot's of lights, I'll bet it looks cute at night,
note to self, we will have to go back in the evening.

This shopping center was here when I was growing up, it's so nice to seeing it get a facelift!!

It looks as though the facelift is having its desired results. Now if only we could get a makeover after fifty years and get a whole new appearance!

Hello, it is nice they are giving the shopping area a facelift. It looks very pretty. I love the murals, the gull mural is pretty. The mural above the seat is a cute idea. I like they put light out for the night time. Looks wonderful. Wishing you a happy day!

Beautiful "facelift" - more mall sites should do this!

Being an artist and crafter I totally love seeing painted art around town esp on the sides of boring brick walls. LOVE IT. But oh my gosh, I love the one with the seat. That is so cool. That water feature is really nice also. Often thought I wanted some sort of water feature in my yard but it just means more to keep clean and take care of, so I just settled for the cheek next to the house. Easy, once or twice a yr clean up but if you wait long enough a good rain comes and washes all the limbs and stuff away! Great pics.

that is so neat, when they get face lifts like that it sure makes it more fun to go to. I like how they let artist get in on all this too! Of course I like any kind of water so that is a nice touch also. I bet it would look neat at night too :)

That is so good that they’re not just keeping it up but making it better! So many malls are just deteriorating.

That looks wonderful. It is nice to see when people pay attention to the smaller details.

In a time when it seems like shopping centers are dying, it’s great to see this one getting a facelift!

I LOVE WHAT THEY DID, especially the water features and murals. Seems ANY TIME you allow real artists to do real murals, it's always interesting and authentic and adds so much beauty to the area. Water features do too!!---the sound of the water is so relaxing and even cooling on a hot day, almost fools you into thinking you are cooler doesn't it! ha ha LOL I love that little swing area to make pictures, very cute and clever!

Very nice and inviting! Not every shopping center is so lucky. It's hard enough to compete with online retailers these days.

Wow this is wonderful, gives it a more personal feel and encouragement to sit and enjoy instead of hurry and shop.

Oh, this boardwalk looks like a delightful place to walk and enjoy. I loved the special place for a photo of your adventure. I want a photo of the two of you on the next trip.
Big hugs!
