Saturday Critters ~ 247 ~

I love Deer, I am completely obsessed with seeing and photographing them.
In this area of New Jersey, the Deer are pretty tame,
meaning they are very curious and will usually let you get pretty close to them.
There is a spot, a few minutes from home where they always gather.
Quite often I stop to take pictures and on August 12th I saw 2 babies.

We were driving by again on August 22nd
and the number of Deer had doubled and there were 4 babies.
The hubs spun the car around for me,
pulled on to the shoulder and put on the 4-way flashers.
I hopped out and was taking pictures when I heard someone yelling and cursing at me.
He felt we were blocking him...
he wanted to use the shoulder to pull up to the traffic light to make a right turn on a red light.
I couldn't believe it, how could anyone not delight in my joy,
sit back and say
"WoW, isn't that wonderful to see",
both the Deer, and the girl who was enjoying them so much.
There is a lot more to the story, I cursed at him...you wouldn't believe what I said to him,
and got back into the car.
I wish I had stayed with the Deer and ignored him.
What an ass, I guess he had a bad day...he certainly ruined mine!

There were several bucks there that I had not seen the previous day.

I am going to my sisters in October and she has Deer in her backyard,
I can't wait!

You know the expression about stopping to smell the roses; some people never do. I think you met one.

You got some beautiful photos anyway, Debbie. Can life be so busy he couldn’t wait at the light? Encounters like that scare me.

I think David hit it on the head:) My favorite picture is the one of all of them eating except one that is looking up and has grass hanging out of his mouth.

Hello, I love watching the deer too. I am sorry about the experience with the nasty man. People are in such a rush now, they can not slow down and enjoy the scene? I love you deer photos, the spotted babies are adorable. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend. PS, thanks also for the comments and visit to my blog.

That is quite the gathering spot! Goodness! Beautiful photos! Unfortunately, some people lose their ever-loving minds when they get behind the wheel. And some people are just deplorable creatures.

They really are beautiful! I love seeing them. We do have one friend, though, that posts pics of the ones they have killed; it's very sad to me. And, now they're bringing up their little boy and showing pics of him with them. I guess when a person has been raised like that from the time 'they' were little; you know like different strokes. Makes me ill though even thinking about it.

Well, Ms Debbie I didn't know you could come unglued like that! LOL

People can be so rude, and it just gets worse every day. :(

xoxo

I love deer too. They are lovely! Unfortunately where I live they are totally wild... so it is not so easy to get close...

Perhaps if 'that' man had stopped and took the view of those gorgeous deer before he exploded his bad attitude might have melted into pure joy. Oh how beautiful to see these gorgeous creatures whilst driving by. You have captured amazing photos, Debbie. How fabulous your sister has deer in her yard.

Oh what beautiful photos of these lovely deer. I haven't seen any in a long time and I miss them. As for the obnoxious individual, don't let him steal your joy. He is to be pitied for having none of his own. But it's hard not to be brought down by the bad tempered old sod, 'scuse the language, hehehe. I would have loved to have heard you giving him what-for! In the meantime you got these amazing photos, wow!

Well it looks like you were still able to get some great pics of them. I am the same way when I see any wildlife really, I get so excited and we have to stop and get pics :) You know when it really surprises me when you are at a state or national park, I think if you are there you are wanting to calm down and enjoy it and people can be in such a hurry to just drive through real quick and you think, why not slow down and soak it all in. If it would have been us we would have pulled out and joined you :) We are going home to Michigan in October too, visiting family, I am pretty excited about it too!

You did get some spectacular photos of the deer. I love deer too. My husband and I went on a trip recently and took some photos of deer. I couldn’t get the ones my husband did downloaded on my computer. I need somekind of apparatus. I too photos on my camera and they didn’t turn out all that great. I did use them on a post. I’m so sorry that you had a rude driver that didn’t understand your joy. I feel your pain on this one.
Blessings and hugs!

Oh don't let the a*&!&s get you down. They are just a small blip. Think of all us nice people who are out here just waiting for your deer pictures. I love deer too and take a lot of pictures of them; they are so graceful and those eyes!! (By the way, I would believe what you said to the idiot, because I used to do just the same kind of thing -- but on a cautionary note my husband has reminded me that those are just the ones who are likely to be armed and deranged. So now I just cuss them out silently.)
