Longwood Gardens

Back on September 28th, we took a drive out to
We have annual passes so it's worth the two hour drive...
truth be told, even if we didn't, this place is worth the drive.
There is always something special happening at the gardens,
on this day we went to see the luminaries throughout the gardens and
The Main Fountain Performances
The fountains have been under construction for several years...
they returned in May and the show is better than ever.

The main entrance to the Conservatory is always stunning.

The hubs and I always capture "a" picture here.
If I am going to be honest, we take as many as we have to, until I get one of myself that I like.

The pathways right now are green and lush.

We caught a lot of great reflections on this day...

...and the fountains were beautiful!!

Last up, when it got dark, were the luminaries.
There had to be thousands, decorating the open space and lining the paths.

This is the Italian Water Garden, the luminaries were spectacular here!

If you get a chance, visit their website here, this place is beautiful!

Oh my gosh that is the most beautiful place! The shadowy reflections in the greenhouse on what looks like a marble floor (but surely can't be) are just gorgeous - well the whole place is beyond beautiful. Love the macro of that pretty purple flower (however did you decide to focus on that particular one ;>)? Wonderful to have a season pass as it would be great to be there for all the seasonal changes.

Wonderful. - Those fountains are so amazing. - I remember the lily pond. I almost lost my mom's camera there. I left the camera on the ground (had to use the bathroom and forgot the camera in the case). Thankfully a nice person saw it and picked it up until I returned to the area and gave it back to me. - You know how I love post of Longwood Gardens, this one did not disappoint.
