The Botanic Gardens...

It was windy and chilly in Washington, D.C. on Sunday April 3rd.
We decided to start our day in the Botanic Gardens,
it's hot in there, climate controlled.
That was a good choice...a choice a lot of other peeps made that day as well.
It was crowded, but we did manage to snap a few selfies using our tripod.

Getting pictures in the gardens was tricky, everywhere you went,
there was someone blocking your view and your ability to take a decent picture.
It's a beautiful place and I have a lot of great images in my head.

We found this quiet spot, set up the tripod, and seconds later, it was filled with people.

There were pretty murals like these all around the main greenhouse,
most were not visible because of plant over-growth.

The oranges were just starting to pop out.

Pretty art...

and cool hanging "stuff".

Beautiful trees...

and this pretty chandelier filled with flowers at the main entrance.
On this day,
some of the best views were provided when looking up!

That does look the sort of place I'd be more than happy to visit.
Eddie was peering over my shoulder and he agreed!

I did note you were colour co-ordinated with the blooms in that lovely first photo. Your scarf, such a lovely shade.

Have a happy Friday

All the best Jan

Beautiful garden! I had the same problem when I was taking pictures of tulips at a botanical garden; people everywhere! You did great avoiding them in your pictures!
