Another Snow Day!!

We have been getting a lot of nuisance snow.
Nuisance snow = beautiful white stuff, in a smaller quantity,
often, no cleanup is required.
So clearly, I feel no nuisance...that's just what everyone else calls it.
It looks pretty, makes for some great images,
and all the critters in the yard, come in really close for pictures.
I adore it!

I have taken thousands of pictures of the backyard
after it snowed.
So in an effort to share something different,
this is the view from our deck upstairs.

This is a view of the river, with the 911 Bridge in the background.
The river is frozen, from one shoreline to the other.

This little cutie is "not" Junior,
but he was very polite when "praying" for peanuts!!

Oh yeah I understand those thoughts, I have a few of the same, but still like your photos show, there is such a rare and beautiful quality to winter and the offering it dumps and/or showers us with. What a sweet and adorable little guy at the end too. Now, no one can (wait there are those that don't like those little guys too) it seems it's all about the cup being half full or empty right?! Enjoy your lovely winter- and life!

I love your photographs Debbie and your definition of "nuisance snow" is perfect! The winter scenes of the river and little squirrel friend at the end are terrific!

A beautiful, winter wonderland, indeed! How pretty it all looks, (from the inside;))! But really, there's something so romantically peaceful about walking in such a landscape, with whispers of snowflakes disappearing into our eyelashes, and just nippy enough to appreciate the clean air, and the feeling of being alive.

Thanks for visiting Poppy View, and hope to see you again soon!

What a gorgeous view you have! I love looking at the beautiful winter landscapes; I just can't go out in it, though. And boy, don't get me started on this arctic blast we've been having!

I enjoyed those snowy views indeed. I remember when you posted those views in another time of the year and I loved the water views. You live in a beautiful area and what a vantage point from your deck! Just lovely, thank you for sharing. I love your polite squirrel too :D)

Pretty pictures! There is something about winter photos that always look so beautiful! Look at the sweet squirrel. That reminds me to go to ACE hardware after work and buy a giant bag of peanuts for the squirrels.

Wow you have quite the view. It looks very wintery with the snow. I must say that last shot of the squirrel is just adorable as can be.
