Here We Snow Again!!

I have not been outside since all the white stuff fell,
insert sad face.
It started around 10 a.m. yesterday and fell thru the night.
It looks like we got about 5.5 inches.
That's according to the hubs, the offical snow measurer.
I don't think I will be able to "romp" around outside in the snow.
The temperatures are below zero and I have one of those
energizer bunny colds...it keeps going and going and going.

Here's "some" of the images I took from inside the house.

Junior was very happy to find the peanuts I put out for the birds.
He has several in his mouth in this shot.

Mr. Downy Woodpecker came in this close, with the window open.

Mr. Male Cardnial, was this close to the window,
no cropping was required.

And I must say he was very interested in the goings on in the house.

The Chickadees always pick a branch that has one branch in front of it,
the window was also open for this image.

This little Titmouse had no problem brushing the snow off of the food dish
to find the peanuts I had put out earlier.

Female Cardinal
Isn't she just beautiful, sitting in the pine tree, waiting for her turn.

 Junior waits for no one,

I'm confident he thinks all the nuts are for him anyway!

And do you see that tiny little "snow" heart on Mr. Titmouses back??

I'll be sharing that baby heart with
Clytie at Random Hearts
I know she's going to love it!!

Oh my gosh you guys are being dumped on with the snow. I feel for you. Hope you are staying plenty warm. - What wonderful photos. Junior is quite the little "ham" and apparently a hungry little squirrel. Just got through putting peanuts out for ours here. They are fending much better though since we don't have snow (just really slick sidewalks).
Gorgeous bird photos. Oh and since I don't want to flood your box with comments your food below looks so, so yummy! Making me hungry since I haven't had breakfast yet.

every one of these was awesome! really loved mr. cardinal's close-ups. junior, though, stole the show with his flaky, furry, peanut-eater coat!

keep those flip-flop wearin' feet out of the cold!

p.s. you're giving brian some competition with mr. downy today! :)

Really awesome shots!!! Love the little downy with the sprinkles of snow on his head. The ones of the squirrel in all that snow made me feel sorry for him. God bless all the critters out in the harsh elements. Hope you feel better soon!

Śliczne ptaki pewno nie są zadowolone ze śniegu i pewno liczą na pomoc ludzi. Myślę, że taką mają. Wiewiórka z pewnością da sobie radę. Cudowne zdjęcia. Pozdrawiam.
Cute birds are certainly not satisfied with snow and certainly hope to help people. I think the have. Squirrel certainly can handle. Wonderful pictures. Yours.

Debbie, you can even make a blizzard look beautiful! I love it when you share your photography, i find my mouth is open in awe as I look, and look some more. The details are so minute and the color is gorgeous, even in the brown of winter. Thank you for sharing these today, you knew I needed to see the beauty of winter, and you posted it right here, to share. THANK YOU!

I know how you feel. It has been so snowy here as well. I love the snow but the clean-up on the other hand, now that can be a huge mess.

Great birding from inside the house! I wouldn't go out either. Love that squirrel all covered in snow. Glad he got a snack.

All your shots are wonderful. I love the little Titmouse and I do see the heart on his back.
We didn't get much snow but what we did is blowing around causing a ground blizzard. Wind chill temps are -40. I think I need to get out my long johns again. :0)

Darling photos Debbie, truly awesome! My official snow measurer also measure five inches yesterday, popped his head out of the door, took his ruler and stuck it in the snow! Yup, 5 inches! Well, at least it's sunny today. I haven't been out either, way too cold.

Beautiful photos!Your birds must trust you to get so close...amazing!Love the snow on the squirrel and the female cardinal is beautiful. Usually we think of the male being the pretty one with his vibrant red, but she is lovely sitting there!

I love all if these! But my favorites are of Junior. He is so cute! I think the cardinal was trying to see that pretty lady that puts out such good food. :-) I hope your cold gets better soon!

Beautiful photos! We had snow all day yesterday but our squirrels did not come out while it was snowing. Today one left tracks in the snow on our porch.

Very pretty photos of the cardinals Debbie! You're lucky you have them visiting your surrounding area!

Stay warm and please do keep sharing with us beautiful winter photography :)

These are fantastic pictures. I loved them all. You certainly get a variety of birds visiting your home. You must be the best feeder of all. I really thought the pictures of the squirrel were adorable.
When we lived in Washington there was a wet land just below our home. We had a lot of critters visit our property. We had lots of squirrels, Quail, Raccoon, Skunk, porcupine and lots of deer. I just wish we would have taken more pictures of them.
Blessings to you; stay safe and healthy in this kind of weather.
