Six Words Friday ~ Red ~

It was love at first sight!!

That's my six words but there's a funny story attached to this teapot.
I don't love red, but when I saw this teapot, I knew I had to have it.
I checked the price...it was eighty dollars!!
omgosh are you kidding me, eighty dollars for a teapot.
"Too much" I said and I checked all the others.
Most were about twenty dollars, there were a few for thirty.

But there was something about that red teapot,
the shape, the handle, the spout and the lovely red color
I knew I had to have it.

I had a coupon for 20% off...but I wouldn't do the math.
Deep down inside I knew I was going to buy it and I didn't really
want to know the final cost!!

I justified the purchase, because it would be 20% off and therefore
reasonable, right??

It wasn't my fault we needed a new teapot, the hubs burnt the last two.
Making me tea, while I was napping...
with the whistle "up" so it wouldn't wake me.
omgosh...I am spoiled rotten!!

Sharing today's red teapot with
Please stop by and share Six Words with my dear friend Adrienne.
Many thanks Adrienne for hosting Six Words Friday,
it's both challenging and fun!

You are so funny! I totally understand why you had to have that teapot--it's pretty and eye-catching! That's a pretty shade of red, too.

Many years ago I was debating whether or not to buy a pair of beautiful turquoise earrings. They were calling my name, but I balked at the $40 price tag. A friend with me told me, "Tina, if you buy those, you will never regret it." I bought them and never regretted it. And I bet you never regret buying that teapot! :-)

I "red" about your teapot today!

Love it as much as you do Debbie! I am also not a red fan, but once in a while I will find something red and feel the same way you do! I think it was worth it!

The red teapot is beautiful! I just know that it makes your day brighter and the tea taste sweeter.

I was shopping this morning and bought a coat that I didn't need just because I had a $50 dollar off coupon and it was my favorite shade of blue. Sometimes we gotta do what we gotta do.

Sounds familiar... we gals can always rationalize those spending sprees, can't we?

That's a special looking teapot. Heck, how often do you use it? If you use it every day, it was well worth it.

That tea kettle is a day brightener for sure. Obviously, you aren't frivolous with your money, or you wouldn't have batted an eye at the price. May you enjoy many wonderful cups of tea.

First of all I said "oh my gosh" out loud when I read $80... before I read that you wrote it. And, sometimes you've gotta just go for it when you love something!! I think it's super sweet that he tried to make tea without waking you...the burning of the tea pot? Soooo something I would do!

I have the exact same tea kettle - LOVE it! I love the color red, and I don't know what it is about this kettle, but when I walk in my kitchen and see it on my stove, I just have to smile.

Of course you had to have it . Red is part of what makes purple. I think I might have to go get me a tea kettle.

Well it is a lovely red teapot. It would have been very hard to pass by. I think it is very pretty.

A red tea kettle confused you.

And this six-word must have been right.

I cannot imagine a kettle costs me about RM300.

Okay...secret time...don't tell anyone...but I have a teapot ALMOST exactly like that. Saw the red, HAD to have it. I don't even drink tea! It somehow magically made it INTO my suitcase when I was staying at an "unnamed" hotel and it arrived at my room via room service. It them flew cross country home with me. And I don't even regret doing' it :)

It's a gorgeous teapot. I love whistling tea kettles. Don't own any but perhaps I need to. That way I'd make tea more often. How sweet that your hubby makes you tea and doesn't want to wake you from the nap.

It really is a pretty shape! I'd imagine the bright red color makes grumpy mornings of not enough sleep much more cheery!
