"Orange" You Glad I Stopped?!

Sunday, on our way to the Alpaca Farm,
but before we played with The Cows,
I stopped to photograph these very unusual looking Emu's.

These Emus were curious and docile.

They are about five feet tall
and looked to weigh about 100 pounds.

They are flightless, strong runners,
reaching speeds of up to 40 miles per hour in short bursts
and covering about nine feet in one stride.

After enjoying all the farms and animals,
we headed a little bit north to Colts Neck for their annual
outdoor craft show.

Tents lined the fields filled with
 beautiful hand crafted wares,
no pictures allowed.

There was live music,

and lot's of "fair food" to eat.

On the way home, we passed Delicious Orchards.
We stopped and sat outside at a picnic table
to enjoy a delicious hamburger and fries.

Inside we purchased a cheesecake to bring home...
a "for later" treat!

It sure was a "Sunday Fun-day"!

What a nice day. How funny that they wouldn't let you take pictures at craft show.

Man, when you get to moving around, you really enjoy yourself!! haha! That bird is a bit spooky - all black with those orange eyes. Looks like he's dressed for Halloween! I'm gonna try and get my husband to stop at some crafty stores this weekend - headed to NH just the two of us. We'll see how that goes!

That SOUNDS like your kind of day!! And MINE!! I am so glad you stopped! And double glad you POSTED! We have the State Fair of Texas but it isn't scenic like yours. Ours is more urban. I used to love it - not so much anymore. But I WOULD love YOUR fair!

That emu looked much smaller than you described... did you offer him/her a french fry? :)

The emu is adorable, but I'm not sure about that docile part! The day at the fair sounds great!

I'm really a bit afraid of birds, so that Emu really freaks me out!!!! :)

i know you love delicious orchards. the emus always look a little vampish to me - must be the long eyelashes and smug look. :)

Didn't you buy and neat fall craft things? I have bins and bins of fall decorations, its a season I can't resist. Haven't been reading many blogs lately. My mornings had been filled with therapy, and too pooped in the afternoon to do much. Today, I'm going home, so no PT or OT. Just packing and leaving. Its a 2+ hour drive. We'll be stopping a lot. I'm anxious to get home, miss my hubby.
