The Curious Cormorant

A pretty Shorebird
The Double-Crested Cormorant

Usually seen in flocks,
this guy was by himself, hanging with the gulls.

He was a bit curious as he spotted me and I moved closer.

He posed for a few more pictures then slithered in to the lake.
They swim with just their head and neck above water.

I'm not sure what I like more here,
the Cormorant or the water!

Oh he is a beauty. Obviously, he liked you taking his picture if he stood for several but I have to say that look he gave you was a little intimidating.....

I agree the water is gorgeous....

Hi Debbie...Great photos, and I like both the Cormorant and the water!
I especially like the Cormorant face on..I have never seen one at that angle ...made me laugh!! He doesn't look like he has that long bill he has!! Probably should have his photos taken face on all the
time ; )!!
Great job girl

Fabulous photos Debbie. Isn't it wonderful when you get ahead with picture taking? So many pictures, only so many blog posts, hehehe! All a good sign for having oodles of photos to share and I'll love looking at every one of them.
