Knowing my love of birds, the hubs set this all up for me making it pretty easy to capture these images.
And of course, he bought me an awesome camera to take the pictures!
So here we go, what you have all been waiting on...
the better pictures, from January 26th, the day after the snow.
I felt a bit of a connection with this
Song Sparrow
Definitely aware of my presence, this beautiful song bird was not about to fly away.
It was very cooperative with the pictures, making sure I captured every angle.
Female Cardinal
Another bird that I am sure saw me,
she did not fly off, instead she hung around for this mini photo shoot.
She looked right at me and conducted herself like a model, her movements ever so slight.
Male Cardinal
behaved the exact same way.
I had so many cardinals,
both male and female at the feeders, it is difficult to tell when you are photographing the same bird.
One of the male cardinals was much brighter than the others.

The Carolina Chickadees
came and went very quickly.
I think these pictures are of a Carolina Chickadee, but the Black Capped Chickadee is very similar.
I see The Carolina Wren year round, they were plentiful during the storm.
I had many more visitors and 100's of pictures.

I think these are the best of the good ones.
I hope everyone is staying home, staying safe and warm and are as "happy as a lark".
Happy as a lark means you are "cheerful and lively like the bird".
Fitting right?

Kudos to the hubby for the setup and equipment and to you, Debbie, for taking and posting these wonderful bird portraits. You had such great feathered models. The song sparrow was my favorite, especially that first photo. The cold weather really made the birds fluff up their feathers too.

Those photos are incredible! I've been feeding the critters in my yard, in NJ north of you, and it's been so lovely to see all the birds in the snow
