If you have followed my blog for any length of time, you know that I have used
Home Chef meal delivery kits for a long while.
Home Chef meal kits are just that, "kits".
All fresh pre portioned ingredients...
with everything you need, including herbs, to prepare a delicious meal.
I loved Home Chef but there is a certain amount of time involved in preparing the meals.
Standing on my feet, in a hot kitchen for about an hour started to become difficult for me.
I wrote about my love for Home Chef many, many times, sharing links to some of those posts, .
A few months ago, I switched from Home Chef to Cook Unity.
Cook Unity meals are fully prepared and cooked meals.
These gourmet meals are fresh, never frozen and take 2 - 3 minutes to heat in the microwave.
Switching was easy, signing up with Cook Unity was easy, they have so many options for all 3 meals,
snacks, soups, sandwiches, dinner, deserts and energy drinks.
They offer several different subscription sizes, from a single person, married and family size meal plans.
I have been forgetting to take pictures so I only have a few,
Pappardelle Pasta with Beef Ragu`
after being in the microwave for 3 minutes.
One of the first meals we had, it ended up being our favorite so far.
Below, how it looked before we cooked it.

Mom's Sunday Sauce Rigatoni with Fennel Sausage and 5 Meatballs
after being in the microwave for 3 minutes.
It comes with plenty of pasta, the meatballs and cheese.
This was delicious.
Here I mixed 2 meals, we each had half of one.
Eggplant Parmesan with Pappardelle Pasta with Beef Ragu`

This is another favorite.
Golden Chicken Schnitzel with Mashed Potatoes and Tomato Salad
This has not been cooked yet.
This is the hubs favorite...
I cooked the chicken in the air fryer and it was crisp and delicious.
This was way too spicy,
neither of us liked it so I will not order it again.
I enjoy cooking but the meals from Home Chef
required a little more energy than I had to give at the end of a busy day.
Cook Unity meals are ready to eat meals crafted by top chefs.
You choose how many you would like to receive each week, as few as 4 or as many as 16.
The meals are delivered in compostable, recyclable, or insulated bag.
Heating instructions and nutrition information is provided.
So for now, we are getting 6 meals per week, which covers three nights.
That plan is $ 73.74 plus fees and tax.
There are some meals that have an "upcharge",
and I have found those to be well worth the few extra dollars.

Wow, this was such an insightful read! I've heard about CookUnity before, but your blog really gave me a deeper understanding of how it works and what sets it apart. I love the idea of connecting people with real, independent chefs who cook with passion and creativity — it feels so personal compared to traditional meal services.
The emphasis on quality ingredients and chef-driven meals is something I truly appreciate as a foodie. Thanks for highlighting both the convenience and the authenticity CookUnity offers. Definitely considering trying it out after reading this!
Hello Debbie,
The meals do all look delicious.
It is nice to have these ready to go and only have to be heated up. Thanks for sharing. Take care, enjoy your day and the week ahead.
Perfect for busy days. They look good!
Thanks for the info. I've been considering it. Even retired, I'm still losing food by waiting to0 long to get to it and cook it. This is very tempting. Linda in Kansas
