Puttering Along

I have been puttering around the house, not always being as productive as I maybe should be.
I enjoy being busy and also try to acknowledge the need for time to rest.

This is my latest coloring piece...I have really been enjoying the time I spent coloring.
I am not much of an artist, so these small coloring projects are perfect for me.
As I said in a previous post, when completed, I feel quite accomplished.

I was able to get caught up on magazines that had accumulated over the holidays.

Getting up early one day made it possible for me to see this beautiful sky just after sunrise.

I learned a new crochet stitch that I have been practicing a bit
and
the knitting needle that I have been waiting for has finally arrived,
I can begin my new project.

Of course I have been cooking a lot.

I love to barbecue in winter and these hamburgers from
Home Chef were delicious.
There is something so special about cooking burgers on the grill,
especially when it is freezing outdoors.

Mini Meatloaves with Mashed Potatoes
and String Beans was also a big hit.
Comfort food at it finest.

The Paper Whites I planted on
New Years Day
are flowering beautifully with many more to come.
The scent lingers throughout the house.
I have such a love for bulbs that can be forced to bloom indoors,
I wish I had planted more, and a few different varieties.

- where flowers bloom, so does hope -

Debbie! You give "puttering" a whole new meaning. If I say I puttered about and did nothing today, I literally mean I played on my IPAd, read on my Kindle, napped on my couch ... you get the idea. When you puttered you accomplished beautiful things. And your food looks scrumptious. (Actually, I *do* usually cook every day. Unless Bill does it!). Happy Weekend!

Hello Debbie, Your Paper Whites are so beautiful. It didn't take long at all for them to bloom. They look pretty in the little jar too. You say puttering, I say pottering, Puttering Pottering, Lets Not call the whole thing off !! He He. :=)) Could n't resist having a little fun with your puttering. Your colouring cards do look lovely when they are finished, and your meals look appetising.
I enjoyed seeing what you do when you putter about.

I love your coloring card, it is nice and relaxing isn't it, that reminds me I need to color more of my calendar images and have them ready for a card :) Are those key chain holders that you knitted? I agree there is something special about grilling out in the winter time. We grilled out a couple days ago when it was warmer :)
I always enjoy seeing the flowers you have bloom in January, just beautiful.

Delightful photos Debbie, from start to finish. The other day I saw an advertisement for Christmas/Holiday trees made out of sea glass. I immediately thought of you :) as I remembered you blogging about them and how much you like sea glass. Pretty new crochet stitches too. The Paper Whites are so cheerful on a cold winter’s day. Your meals look delicious, and those plates are very pretty. Your artwork is frame worthy :) and so is the photo of that incredible sky. Good to catch up on reading too, I have been doing my own catching up. I enjoyed reading about your puttering around :)

I am loving that you are coloring. I do think it is a relaxing activity that I would like to try. I need one! I like that you were crocheting; awesome stitches. Loved the photo of the sunrise; spectacular. I like the magazine, Better Homes And Gardens. I must say your Paper Whites are beautiful. I'm going to think about doing some bulbs this year.
Blessings and hugs!
